things have slowed down a bit my induction loss was 16 lbs in 2 weeks and now I've still limited myself to 20-25 carbs a day and my loss has slow dramatically...in 2 weeks of own I've dropped 6 pounds...I assume this is the correct way of going about things however when you are in OWl does ketosis slow because I've gone from raging purple to like pink on my Ketostix...However it heartens me because I am still aware that when I am in ketosis I'm still burning fat...can anyone advise me as to whether I should re-enter induction or just keep plodding along Thanks

Someone once correctly said that ketosis is like being pregnant, you either are or are not. The shade of color is not that important, and can often be effected by the ammount of water you are drinking. As long as they are positive, you are in good shape.

Paladin is right. If I am correct you lost 22 pounds in four weeks, if you look at it that way that is great. You are right on track!

Troy, you're doing great. No need to go back to induction--in fact, it would probably be counterproductive. Continue on with OWL, ok?

Don't be afraid to add more veggies. No one ever got fat eating LC veggies.

Never re-induct. Just keep plodding along. You either are, or are not, in ketosis. There are no degrees to it. In 2 weeks you've lost 6 pounds. At that rate, in a month you will have lost 12, in two months, 24, in three months, 36.

You get the drift.

And even if you do not sustain that rate of weight loss, you are eaty healthy and you will feel better. The weight will come off. Become more informed about what your body will respond to, tweak your eating regimen, and look at this as a lifetime of possibility.

You'll get there. We'll all get there.

My two cents...

Welcome Troy,

You are doing fantastic!! Many of us hit a stall after induction. You have loss 3 pounds a week. I would take Barb's advise and eat more veggies.

Good Luck!

Troy
Don't worry about your rate of loss. As long as the scales are going downward you are doing well.

Weight loss is supposed to slow down during OWL.
