| Hello all, I recently joined Fitday and have been logging my foods, but am stymied by the way Fitday counts carbs. It doesn't subtract for fiber, so it shows that I am taking in far more carbs than should count (net carbs). How do you guys handle this? |

| It shows the fiber under the carbs, just doesn't remove it fromt he total so you can do the math yourself and see exactly what your totals are for the day. I find it helpful! |

| I don't use fitday but you can of course subtract the fiber from the carbs or understand that if you are eating lots of veggies or other fiber products in your diet that about 30-40% of your carbs will be fiber. I eat veggies and according to my spreadsheet that is about what my fiber to carb %. You could figure out what the gross carbs you should have per day. 50 gross carbs is between 30-35 net carbs. | Cody, At the top of the page at Fitday, it shows a graph with all your info. Find out how much fiber you have had for that day and minus it from the carbs from that day. HTH Jen Atkins since 11/11/03 5'3" 140/128/115 I used to be indecisive...But now I'm not so sure! |

| Boy, what a difference some knowledge can make. I THOUGHT I was moving up my carbs, but when I really looked at the net carbs, even for the last 2 weeks I have been well below the 20. Yipes. so. Today I started the spreadsheet to track the Cals, carbs, fiber, protein and NET CARBS. Really hard for me to get the numbers up. I just feel like I am having to eat SO MUCH!!
