Lyzz,
There may be several factors as to why you haven't lost weight yet. Please post a few days menus. Are you drinking half your body weight of water in ounces daily? (if you weight 200 pounds that would be 100 oz)
Are you taking any medications?
Are you subtracting your fiber?
Are you eating any of the low carb shakes and bars?
How many veggies are you eating?

Please don't be discouraged. we will help you figure it out!

First off, do you have the book? I think you need to follow the Rules of Induction.

You need more green leafy veggies added to your diet. Only 4 oz of hard cheese per day. Your water needs to be at least 73 oz per day.

Please get the book and read it! If you can't buy it, then check it out at your library.

Lyzz,

You kind of answered your own question. You HAVE to eat more vegetables. Seriously. Try to make your "on occasion" salad an everday occurance. I'm not kidding, after induction you should be getting your carbs from veggies first before adding in other foods.

Also, you weigh 146lbs. So you probably should be drinking around 64-80oz of water a day. If you want to have more, go for it. I would recommend at least 100oz for anybody regardless of how much you weigh just to prevent dehydration. Also, since you do only weigh 146lbs, you probably arent going to lose weight as fast as someone who is say 247lbs. If you have lost weight on induction that is great, but your body is probably just taking a break to catch up. Have you measured yourself? You may be losing inches instead of pounds. Dont get discouraged, LC is not a quick fix nor a race. If you feel better and look better thats all that really matters. Good luck!

What everybody said already...plus

There's no such thing as "average" on this or any other program. Every body responds differently, and in its own time. The longer it takes to reach your "goal" weight, the better you will learn how to make low-carb a lifelong commitment--which is the only way you'll be able to maintain your desirable weight over time.

Best wishes!

Up your veggies to at least 3 cups per day. At this stage of the game your carbs should be coming from veggies.

Eat lots of them.

Lyzz,
If you are following Atkins, then you would know, you can't have carrots! Please don't try to do this without knowing how. It could be VERY dangerous to your health.
Also, you said you just want to lose weight to look good in Cancun. If so, this may not be the plan for you. This has to be a change of lifestyle to really work. Yes, you can drop some weight on this fairly quickly if you do it right, but as soon as you stop, the weight will come right back. Plus, you can make yourself sick if you start adding back carbs after following a low carb plan.

I just want you to understand how and why this works. Please get the book.

Relax.
Eat your vegetables (low glycemic ones).
Eat them before you eat your protein.
Drink your water. The rule of thumb is half your weight in ounces of water (so, you should aim for at least 73 ounces per day).
Find a plan and read everything you can about it.
The weight will come off.
Relax.

Welcome, Lyzz.

How tall are you? Just wondering if your goal is realistic for your height and build.

So, your goal is not unrealistic. Now, I have to join everyone else in asking "What, exactly, are you eating every day?" You'd be surprised how the veterans can spot potential problems.

How about posting a couple of days menus? Everything you've put in your mouth, including water? I imagine you're tracking it anyway, so why not post it and let the members see if they can give you a hand?
