Hello everyone. My weight loss has subsided the last week or two (maybe a pound loss, but that's about it). I did cheat once and had a slice of pizza but got right back on track.

Anyway, here is are typical meals.

Breakfast (varies by day usually)
---------------------------------
scrambled eggs and bacon
a salad w/ ranch dressing
An Atkins bar (3 net carbs)

Lunch/Dinner (varies by day usually)
---------------------------------
salad with ranch dressing
1/2 cup of strawberries
2 or 3 double cheeseburgers -bun -catsup
porkchops
steamed veggies (broc and culli)
Sour cream on my steak and pork always

Snacks
---------------------------------
sugar free jell-o cup
slim jims
cheese (vermont cheddar)
small salad with green veggies

I am exercising 3-5 days a week for an hour, usually burning anywhere from 400-1000 calories depending upon how tired I am.

I am trying to drink all my water but come up short sometimes and might have a caffeine free diet coke to get some liquid in me.

I started induction on Jan 5 2004 so I have been on OWL for about 1 month (week 4 is this week). I started out weighing 261 on jan 5 and now weight 243 or so.. depending upon when I hop on the scale.

Do I need to do something different or keep at what I am doing? I guess I am just getting down on myself becasue in the mirror I think Im looking thinner in the face and mid section and my clothes do fit better, but I just saw an image from our company holiday party and look like a small elephant stuffed in a suit with a little planet on my shulders.

Feedback welcome...

Thanks again.

Mike

Hey, Mike - could be the Atkins bar - a lot of us find that they stall us.

That would stink!

They are soo good and really don't cause me to crave anything... damn sugar alcohols.

Do I need to reinduct to get back into it or just go a few days without the bars?

Thanks!

Mike

Holy Bull-O-Ney, Batman!

Lessee... 18lbs in about 6 weeks (if I do the math right)... that's oh, 3 pounds a week. Or, to put it another way, more than 1% of your body weight a week!

And you're complaining?

Ok, I admit I was losing 3 to 4 pounds a week early on and couldn't imagine losing less. It's down to about 1 to 1.5 pounds a week now, but who cares? And hey, what's your rush? You're exercising and building muscle mass and STILL losing 3ish pounds a week?

I'm on the other side of the coin. In the whole scheme of things, your loss is fine. Look at it over time, not a day at a time, or a week at a time. If you enjoy the bars, have them. Unless you consume several a day or something, they aren't going to hurt you.

Don't reinduct, don't change a thing that's been working! And don't get in a hurry. You've lost less than 10% of your body weight, and the changes will take more time than 6 weeks. In fact, I'm at about 80 pounds lost, and I'm just now noticing the difference in the mirror, while others have been saying things for months.

Chill out Mike. You're doin' fine.

Ditch the bars, but don't reinduct, you should be OK.

If you are looking for somethiong quick and easy for breakfats, try Maggie's Breakfast Cereal (recipe section). I LOVE the stuff, and it takes kess than 5 minutes to whip up a bowl in the morning.

What about the ketchup? Isn't that a "no-no?"

LOl, What everyone else said.

Hey Mike T, you might want to forgo the bars just for a couple of days and see what happens. Can you do 2 days? Huh? can ya? can ya? I dare ya. Mock Danish is a good alternative to the bars.

What ThinJen said

Seriously though, I understand about the bars. I have them ocasionally. If you really want to know if they effect you, give them up for a week and check to see if there is a change.
