i have belonged to the same health club for about 3 years now ... and i really love it.
somehow i avoided the free personal training/consultation when i first joined ... i'm not crazy about those muscle men following me around, telling me how to lift weights!
anyhoo, i was approached yesterday by a female trainer, new to my gym - she offered me a free training session, etc. she seemed very approachable, so i agreed!
so here's what i am wondering: how do i tell her about my low carb WOE? i'm fearful that she will try to tell me to change my ways, etc. and i don't want her to weigh me ... can i just say no?
    any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Oh, I'd definitely take advantage of a personal training session! She should have you fill out some information and then do an assessment with you. Dietary information may come up, or it may not. They way I have handled this with folks that I want to understand my nutritional choices but with whom I don't want to get into a debate is to tell them that I have cut out refined sugar and flour and am focusing on *good* carbohydrates and nutrient dense protein. This is true and thus far, I've had no one debate me on it. To get the most out of your session, you'll want to give her all the information she needs. This may include being weighed, or it may not. It may be that you just tell her that you'd like to lose about 15 more pounds and that you already have lost seven. I am a former aerobics instructor and I can tell you that you will receive many benefits from a personalized program. Remember, she is there to serve you so ask all the questions you can think of and tell her exactly what you are looking for in a program. Enjoy!

    Blessings,
    Cindy
