WOW was I shocked today, drove 25 miles to my super wal mart, before going in decided to stop in Drug Emporium for a bottle of chromium..never had been in there...found just about everything I've heard about and everything I've been ordering online, and much more.. found Lifeway Kefir, bought 4 qts.. couldn't wait til I got home to try it... I love, love it..now can't wait til I make my own, this was delicious, fresh and I know homemade is always better... I was in lowcarb heaven....came out with 143.00 worth of foods that I already knew were good buys..the only two items I couldn't find were milk and egg protein and protein isolate...

why I never knew about this place is a mystery.. they said they had been there 4 yrs.. I been lowcarbing 1 yr and 1 month, who would have thought such a store would be hid inside a drug store and no signs outside , I had been asking around every where, but no one had ever told me about it...well I'm not jealous anymore, I have my own lowcarb store... wooohooo

Loads of fun...I've already tried the kefir and the OSO bun was great...and I bought some almond flour , usually make my own ,but wanted to try it... and I got soy nuts, oh are they good.. had tried some years ago from Kroger and didn't like them...when you have a find like this ,you don't know what to try first... oh well..

I would say that you "sound like a kid in a candy shop" but maybe that's not the best way to say it!

Enjoy your goodies! And let us know what you like and don't.

Ok, I've heard you all talk about Kefir, but what the heck is it?

Someone else can tell you better than I , but its a thick cultured milk, like a liquid yogurt to me .. it's good for you and taste great.. sweeten it and it makes a great smoothie.. use DaVinci flavored syrups or splenda.. , it's so refreshing and satisfying...and you can put fruit in it.. hope this helps til someone can tell it better....

The only thing I have to add (and btw, I am not a kifer drinker) is that it has many probiotics. People with yeast problems have often found it helpful. If you want to learn more than you ever wanted to about it, you can go to Dom's Kefir site.
