I just saw on the Atkins site that under their Morning Start cereal they had the symbol of phase II listed as ok to eat along with Carb Countdown milk. Is this really ok to use now? This is our first week off of induction but it sure would be nice to have a bowl of cereal! Also, if it's ok to use during Phase II, does their cereals and the Carb Countdown milk taste good?

Also, what about bread by Arnold (has Atkin's A on the front and the Quick Quisine noodles?

I'm a little confused as why ATkins lists their bread as ok for after induction, but we're not supposed to add bread until later. Is it ok as long as it's Atkins?

One more, is the Keto pizza dough good? (& ok to eat in Phase II?)

If you are past induction, then you can start adding in those foods. I would strongly recomend that you only add in one at a time, and try to limit the ammount that you eat. These foods have a tendency to stall people, especially if you eat too many of them.

I do eat the Arnold bread, but I try to limit myself to 2-4 slices a week.

I am not sure I understand what you are asking here, but the reason for eating Atkins bread instead of regular bread is that it has less carbs in it.

As for the Keto pizza dough, just as with everything else, you can eat it with caution.

The best way to try these things is by adding one of them a week to your diet. This way if you stop loosing, (or even start gaining) you will know exactly what did it to you. Just remember it is always best to eat natural foods, like meats, eggs and veggies.

As for your question if these taste good, you will have to answer that one for yourself.

Thanks for your help! I had thought that we weren't allowed ANY bread until the later phases, but you're saying that as long as it's real low carb and only a couple of times a week, it would probably be ok? We're trying to add a little more variety to what we can eat without messing up our weight loss.

Sorry to hear that. Considering the fact that I my regular heartburn has gone away with this woe, I now believe that carbs play a role in it. It is quite possible that someone who suffered regular heartburn might get it again if they had too many carbs or it could be that there are certain types of carbs that don't agree with them.

PS: Maggie's Breakfast Cereal is quite popular with people who are looking for alternatives to eggs in the morning.

Maggie's cereal is a wonderful alternative. I also add a TBS. of almond flour and maybe a TBS of other ground nuts, like pecans, walnuts. It adds a nice nutty flavor.

Also, Mock Danish is a WONDERFUL breakfast alternative. I believe it's in the recipe section up at the top in the green boxes under "recipes" It's under "Breakfast" then under "Breakfast_Sweets"

There are also some wonderful pancake alternatives there too!!!!!

I would also like to add that while my philosophy is to slowly add in low carb products with caution, there are other people in the forum that believe these low carb substitutes are unnatural and unhealthy. Some people do have bad reactions to them, which is why you should go slowly. As with everything on this woe, your milage may very YMMV.

I would be interested in hearing what April would have to say about this, just to give you a second oppinion. Although I don't always agree with her, I do respect her opinions and admire her strength in staying away from low carb products.
