dh informed me that he would like to all out cheat tomarrow to celebrate our v-day (a day early because of his work shedule). He wants pizza and dessert. He wanted an ice cream cake from dq, but I convinced him to let me make Sharrons carmel apple cheesecake instead. However, I can't get h im to budge on the pizza. I'm going to order wings too, but pizza is the one thing I miss on this wol. I can honestly say, I don't crave anything else. I am afraid I won't be able to resisist once that smell fills my house. Help!

Good luck all!!

How about just eating the toppings or putting the toppings onto a lc tortilla?

Have you tried Kumus' Pizza Casserole? It's basically all your toppings cooked in a pan without the crust. It's great and DH loves it. He hasn't mentioned ordering a pizza once since we started making it. I don't know how to link threads or I'd link the recipe for you as it's in the cooking forum. If you do a forum search it will come up.

Sure the low carb tortilla idea would work. Or make your self a hamburger and put the topping from a slice on top. Put the whole thing on a low carb bun or soem lc bread. But don't eat regular pizza. Talk about triggers, You'll feel like you were shot out of a cannon.

Or you can do what my hubby and I decided to do after our "to cheat or not to cheat for vday" convo...we decided we'd rather give each other a healthy spouse what better gift is there?

think about it ... eat just the toppings, and all you'll be missing is the nasty crust! it won't look very appetizing once you peel off all the cheesy/meat goodness on top!
crust is stupid an boring! and if you cheat, you know you won't feel very good in the morning!!
put a stop to it before it happens!
and happy heart day!

for pizza i take some hamburger meat add some seasoning to it
then press it in a pie pan
bake to it is almost done drain if you need to
i spread some sauce on the meat crust
layer all my toping and add cheese
(if i use sausage any-other toppings that need to be cooked in a Pan on top of stove)
rebake it to the cheese is nice and bubble and turning brown
i cut it just like regular pizza

Thanks for all the ideas! I am prepared. I made the cheesecake last night and bout some lc tortillas and bread today. I will take the toppings off and put it on a tortilla or piece of bread. I will still probably go a little high with the carbs, but at least I am sticking to the diet. I have my mind made up. I hope I have the will power when it is time. We will see!

Good luck all!!

Everything went great! I took the toppings off of two slices, put it on a hamburger and put that on a lc bagel. It was yummy and I felt like I didn't miss out on anything. I even had a big piece of the carmel apple cheesecake (everyone needs to try this). I had a little more carbs than usually, but all in all it went well. I did feel bad for dh though. He ended up with a terrible tummy ache. O.K. a small part of me did not feel bad for him (but thats just between us)

Oh yeah, DH got me a nice pair of diamond earings.
I hope everyone else had a good v-day!

Good luck all!!
