got my first month measurements from Curves.
lost 5 lb, 4.25 inches (my measurements - and clothes - show more, but we'll go with theirs), and 5.1 body fat lbs (lowered body fat by 1.3%).
Not as fast as others, but pretty good for a glacier.
Amazon just shipped my Protein Power and Schwarzein Principle books, along with one of the carb gram counters.

I'm happy with this WOL, happy with Curves. Exercising more than I have in years (need to stick to the cardio side of it more though), up and moving off the couch. Feeling younger.
I'm still feeling very healthy and energetic - and one of these days my body is going to let go of these #&*$@ lbs. But I can be patient.

the one thing I do miss is my chai tea latte. could probably find a lower carb version - but I have all these instant packets in a drawer - 27g a serving.

time to get rid of those, and that case of diet coke that has been sitting on the kitchen floor since the day after xmas. (haven't had one)

I've made low carb chai tea. They sell the tea by itself (with no calories at all when brewed) and then you can just add sweetner and cream... there you go! You just have to experiment with ratios and strength of the tea to see what you like.

I've already found my replacement - Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice. It's nice to just have the smell around!

I just hate losing all that tea I paid for. Have to quit feeling like I can't throw something away just cause I paid for it!! (like the diet coke!)

I gave my extra stuff to a food bank. They could use it and I didn't feel bad throwing it away.

That's a very respectable inch loss for your first month, Mary Kay. You should be very proud of yourself!

With regards to giving away food, it took me four months to give away all mine, everyone that came to visit would leave with a box of mac and cheese or something equally loaded with carbs
