Well, As of this morning DH has lost 35 pounds. He is currently weighing in at 218 (10 pounds less than me). He is 6'3, so that is a pretty good weight for him. He put on some pants that he hasn't worn since he got out of the border patrol academy. He has even decided to start lifting and working out. I am very proud of him and wanted to share his success with all of you.
I must admit I am a little jealous too. I have only lost 13 pounds to his 35. He has done it with very little effort. It doesn't seem fair!
Oh well, such is life!

Good luck all!!

Tell Seeskohubby that I said congratulations!

And quit comparing your weight loss to his!
All it will do is drive you insane and make a small part of you hate him.
My DH is also 6'3", more than a foot taller than me and for a while I weighed more than he did. I had to quit thinking about it until it wasn't true anymore. Otherwise one of the times he complained that he just wasn't hungry, didn't feel like eating, I might have hurt him.

My DH is 6'5" weighs 195, and does'nt seem to have a weight problem, but thats becase he he's not a foodie, I am 5'3' if I stretch, and weigh 211 as of this AM.[lost 19 Lbs since 11/6/03.] I remember every great meal I ever had, in every restaurant, on every trip we have ever taken. He can't remember what he had for breakfast and that was 1 our ago.
He has been very supportive of this program and since he does all the food shooping comes home with all the right stuff,
I have had to accept that my weight issues are my and I alone can do something about it.
If your husband is a loving mate and is supportive of you and your WOE, be thankfull and be joyfull that he has lost weight. His health and wellbeing is importantant to the both of you.

Doesn't it just drive you CRAZY???!

LOL!
My dh went on this woe 2 years ago *to be supportive of me*. He lost 20 pounds in NO TIME at all while I crawled along at a snail's pace! He reached HIS goal of 30 pounds lost within 6-7 weeks. It took me a year to lose 50.
MEN.
Anyway, Brightlady is right; DO NOT COMPARE your weightloss rate to his! It will only upset you. Most men are blessed with MUCH faster metabolisms due to their larger muscle mass, etc.
You are doing GREAT, Seesko! Applaud your dh for his wonderful success and hand him a couple of pom-poms and ask him to be your cheerleader now.

I agree! DH and I started Atkins at the same time. He lost like crazy...I am still creeping along. Hubby lost 28 pounds so far and is looking so good. I really am proud of him, but it is a tad frustrating!!

Seesko,
Just keep doing what you are doing and you will get there. Tell DH to keep rooting you on as you go.

Atkins since 11/11/03

Ditto

Men generally lose faster. My DH lost 25 in about 5 weeks...these last 5 pesky pounds are hard for him. But he is thrilled to wear 34 inch waist pants again

Rainbow, I can TOTALLY identify with what you said about being a foodie and remembering great meals! LOL! That's me to a "T" too.

Your attitude about weight loss and your mate is right on.

And I say CONGRATS to Mr.Seesko too!
