I've tried 3 so far - the Breyer's Carb Smart is very good, I just found the Rocky Road and I really like it. They also have vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate, maybe more but those are the four around this area.

I also bought and tried the Keto brand in pints - very good but about double the calories of the Breyer's. Double the price too, or more - the Breyer's was on sale at $2.99 for a half gallon and the Keto was $3.89 for the pint! OUCH!

And last but not least, I've tried the Skinny Cow low carb peanut butter/choc. ice cream bars. They are mild flavored but tasty.

OH yeah, we also tried the Endulge in pints a while back, again, very good but VERY expensive!

If you can hold it to the serving size (1/2 cup, which I weigh on my digital scales according to the package) and don't eat it too often, it can be a nice treat. It hasn't bothered me as far as adding on weight so I do indulge every now and then!

Bryers Carb Smart has introduced three new flavors. Rocky Road, Butter Pecan, and Mint Choc Chip. But BEWARE!

I've been very sparingly indulging in Edy's No Sugar Added, sweetened with Splenda.

So far, I've tried three flavors:

Vanilla - Decent Taste
Mint Chocolate Chip - AWESOME
Butter Pecan - Wretched

---------------
Serving size = 1/2 cup

Vanilla:
14g carbs
4g fiber
4g sugar
2g sugar alcohols

Butter Pecan
14g carbs
0g fiber
4g sugar
4g sugar alcohols

Mint Chocolate Chip
15g carbs
3g fiber
4g sugar
4g sugar alchohols

I've tried Kemp's Butter Pecan which is very good..3 net carbs 1/2 cup

And Breyers Vanilla....very good...

I have only had 3 servings in 2 months, but I like to know it's there if I should want it.

I have found Le Carb ice cream at Wal-Mart Supercenters (evil) and Food Emporium (less evil.) They have NO sugar alcohols and just a little bit of glycerine. The chocolate and chocolate almond, as well as the cinnamon are pretty good.

Read the labels before you buy any low carb ice creams. Some will say sweetened with splenda but a look at the ingredients will tell what other sweeteners were used. I've seen some low carb ice creams that list HFCS in the ingredients list, which for me is unacceptable. I like Le Carb because it lists sweeteners as splenda and glycerine.

OMG Breyer's introduced 3 new flavors?!?! I must get to the store and soon! LOL. I have tried all 3 of the flavors but Vanilla is my favorite in the Breyer's Brand. I love it. I haven't tried the other low carb brands yet.

I've had the Atkins butter pecan. It was ok...but some of these suggestions are awesome and I'm writing them down!

I thought the Atkins was too sweet...or thick. I don't know, it was strange.

I get somewhat confused. I thought being on a LC WOE was designed to rid you of your cravings for those things that were bad for you in the first place. I would think things like LC Ice Cream would potentially start up those cravings. I know the carb count is lower but I would imagine many on here in the past could not just eat 1/2 cup of ice cream without eating 1/2 gallon. I would be afraid the same would happen with the LC ice cream and then the carb count would be more like 100 grams.

Yeah, they do for me. I can't eat the stuff...not even one bite. It would turn into a half gallon in one sitting.

There has been MUCH discussion on these boards about the points you bring up. This truly is a YMMV (your mileage may vary) thing. Every body and everybody is different.

Mal, you are right. I have to use most LC products with caution. I do best by "eating clean", meaning lots of veggies and protein. I don't seem to encounter cravings, but the products stall my weight loss.

I think it's one of those YMMV, done by trial and error. You know your limitations and trigger foods; stick by that.

Take care~

I just got an ice cream maker for my birthday. I made a basic chocolate ice cream with a creme en glase, (heavy cream, tempered egg yokes and vanilla...like a custard) Splenda and unsweetened bakers chocolate. It was fabulous and no evil sugar alcohols.
It was also much cheaper then store bought.

It just seems that a lot of people even veterans to this WOE seem to still have cravings. I was trying to stay away from high Carb foods so I can hopefully one day live without them. If not I will end up eating too many Low Carb substitutes that may tempt me back to the real thing.
