Hey Gang,
Gave into temptation last night. My sweetie bought home a pizza and I ate TWO slices! I don't know why my head was telling me "go ahead, it ain't gonna kill ya"!! And I was worried about my road trip this weekend!
Anyway, I'm back this morning. I had my flax and wheat bran cereal and have already consumed about 48ozs. of water. I also got on the scale this morning and have lost 2lbs. AND TOM is this Sunday. I hope I didn't mess up too bad. I've been doing so well!

Cherub,

Pizza's not great, but it's not the *worst* thing you could have eaten, either.

I think this often happens... when we are concentrating fully on one thing (this weekend), that is when unplanned cheats sneak up on us. The main thing is to not let this derail you... Just get right back on track this morning as though nothing had changed. You will be fine.
And we can ALL sympathize!
{{{hugs}}}

No worries. I wish I could just cheat a little like that. Lately there has been no cheating, just binging. This is such a psychological game. Once I cave in a little, I figure "what the heck..If I blew it, I might as well make it worth it", Then I feel just awful. I have to learn just to cheat a little when temptation strikes and not fall fully overboard. Anyways, you look like you are doing good with 2lbs down so don't sweat it.

Last night I cheated again, without even realizing it until it was too late. But it was fruit that I ate. They had this fruit tray laid out at school that was free, and I somehow had clicked over into my old mentality of "It's FREE, must eat lots!" So I had mango and kiwi and strawberries and a bite of pinapple." But, then I noticed the plate of macaroons next to the fruit, almost reached for one, then realized... hey, I don't eat that stuff! But I did eat the fruit, and little of it was low-glycemic.

Hugs all around - one for Road King Cole too!

Guess cheats happen to just about everybody and I agree with the others - forget it and move on back on the low-carb track.

Never give up! Never surrender!

LOL Road!!! Okay, Hugs all around. Cher, you'll be fine. I find that a teeny cheat every now and then doesn't derail me, in fact I get the same effect, a whoooooosh. I don't allow this to change my thinking though and go off the deep end. Every few months I have a bit of off-plan eating, very controlled, and then I move on. I don't beat myself up, because I usually plan for it.
