Does anybody else have dreams where they are either offered high carb foods and they have to say "no" or find themselves eating high carb food and going "wait...I'm not suppposed to be doing this...".

Or am I just a freak?

I have had multiple dreams where I find myself eating cake or cookies or something and all of a sudden realizing it and going "oh no! I've messed up my carb counts...arrrgghhh..."

If not...I thought everybody might get a laugh out of my post.

wolfman!
oh my gosh, i have these dreams (nightmares!) all the time! seriously, almost EVERY nite.
in the dreams i am often offered high carb foods, etc. and when i "cheat" in the dreams, i wake up w/ a horrible feeling of failure and anxiety!
it's funny b/c i have been on this WOE for about 6 weeks and have not cheated once. perhaps these dreams are my way of falling off the wagon?? very bizarre!!

That's only happened once to me, early on - too funny how the subconscious mind lets loose during dreams!! At least it can be whipped into submission by waking up....

Yeah, the one lastnight was KFC chicken. I was at some kind of party and the chicken was in every room I went into. Next thing I know, I'm eating some and going "ohh nooo...".

I wake up feeling like I have ruined my carb counts for the day but then realize.. "Gee..just a dream.."

My wife (who is LCing) thought I was looney...

All the time. The funny thing is, I dreamed about things like popcorn and jelly beans, which I don't even like! The other night I dreamed I was taking my family to get ice cream, but I wasn't going to get any because it wasn't on my diet. Later in the dream I looked at myself in the mirror and I was thin and muscular. So it was a positive dream.

Donuts, popcorn, bread, chocolate...

I often dream about eating some carb laden food. In my dream, I am always in the middle of shoveling it in. However, it's like my conscious has also went to sleep, cause I have no feelings of guilt or regret! So, I can enjoy all carb filled foods I want and still be following the low carb lifestyle.... in my dreams!

What's tragic is when you dream you've been eating cotton candy...and wake up to find your pillow is gone!

Or worse yet you have a dream you're a muffler...and wake up exhausted!

Just a little humor...hey, who's the wise guy who said, "It was a very little humor!"

I haven't dreamed like this on this woe but I remember once when I was on a low cal diet a long time ago.. I went to bed hungry (as usual) and dreamed there was a dog with a hot fudge sunday tied on his back. I chased that dog all night long. I will never forget it. I woke up exhausted the next morning. LOL aint it strange how the mind works.

Hey mt, have you tried the Atkins Enduldge mint wafer cookies? They taste exactly like the old girlscout thin mints. Just don't over do them. They come 2 wafers to a package and make a nice occaisional treat.
