I know this could go under womens stuff, but I didn't fight this near so much last month, but boy was this week horrible for me--I am not weighing, but I know I didn't lose anything or if I did it was NOT much because I ate all week--I mean really ate--snacked and munched my way through the week. It is frustrating to say the least. Even though most of what I munched on was allowed foods, too mauch of anything is a problem and I know too I didn't get my water in each day--maybe 64 oz if I was lucky...so shoot me!!! Next month will be better--I will know what to expect then!

Sunday Night my dh took me to a movie and we had pop corn, Tuesday I had chips, Wednesday I had a sick kid but was good, Thursday I had a major snack attacka dn ate almosnd, atkins chips, about half-pound of broccoli and cauliflower with dip, then drank 2 liters of water and had supper with a few berries to go along. Friday I ate pretty well, then blew it in the evening with almonds and tomato juice, Saturday I had grapes (only 10) which is 4 ounces but I also had berries (raspberries and blueberries) in an unknown quanity--my husband fixed them for me. Today he was gloating that he has cheated less than I did in his two weeks and he is already at 205 and it took me almost 7 weeks to get there--but he only had 10 to get to there and I had 27 so I gave him a raspberry (pbbbbblllllll) and told him to go eat potato chips and shut up! We don't have any in the house so he couldn't but it still sent him looking!

I still feel great and am sleeping better than I have in probably 5 years, not to mention that I am thinner than I have been in at least that long! I have no desire to give up even though I know this week was a relatively unproductive one! In fact this week makes me more determined to get into this full force again for next week so that I know the pounds will start dropping off again! I also want to see inches decrease since I can wear an 18W but not a regular 18 so my next goal is a regular 18! I know I probably have to get to around 190 for that to happen. So that is my next goal--and I would like to be there by April--my next weigh date is 19 March with a group of others who are STS (shun the scale) for this month.

I also am going to start swimming at least twice a week while my daughter is in swimming lessons at the Y and am going to try to walk two miles every day! ON top of the exercise I get at work as a PE teacher. I see the doctor on Tuesday and I know he will be pleased tos ee the weight coming off--he approved of my starting a LC diet--he was going to put me on a diabetic diet so I beat him to changing my eating habits! Can't wait to see what my blood work looks like now!

Personally, I never know what to expect! Some months things are OK and I can get by without fighting major hunger and cravings. Other months...LOOK OUT!!! I want to eat everything in site! It is challenging, to say the least. If I'm going to overeat then I try to keep it to low carb foods. Which may explain the cup of almonds I ate yesterday!

I, too, am not expecting much from the scale for the next few days

Started Atkins 10/27/03

i'm glad i am not looking at the scale until 3/19 either!
i had a bad weekend .... grrr. i drank quite a bit of wine. boo.
and too many peanuts yesterday.
huskersfan, i tend to overdo it on the allowed things, too. i haven't cheated once on prohibited foods ... but i know that i sometimes have too much of the good stuff!
this week will be better though!
i got up at 5 AM to work out this morning b/c i knew i wouldn't have time tonite!! pretty early for me!
that makes 6 days in a row of exercise. go me! maybe that makes up for my excess wine?!

Atkins since 1/6/04
152/143/130
