| Hey. So I got this little cheesecake from the Low Carb Store, and it says NET CARBS:2. But the label says Total carb: 19, Sugar Alcohols:17. I am guessing that is where they get the 2. Is that ok? I'm not planning to eat 10 of these per day or anything (though they are that good!), can I really count it as 2? thanks! Heather 181/158.4/140 atkins 8/5/03 (off Thanksgiving 2003-Jan 12, 04) |

| Heather, I think it all depends on your sensitivity to sugar alcohols. For me sugar alcohols reek havoc on my instestines, as well as cause me stall in my weight loss. I have heard others mention that the sugar alcohols cause sugar/carb cravings to return. It is one of those food items that is YMMV (your mileage may vary). I would check out the recipe section on this site which has some great dessert recipes without all the sugar alcohols. |
