Way to go Amy, I know when I see the scales sitting at the same spot it is usually time to re-examine what I am eating, and pull back a little bit.
keep it up

Hi all,
I am still in induction though I am at week 8 so I am new to posting in the OWL section.

I had to comment though about the bars and such.

I have to admit that I have had too many of those Russel Stover treats/etc. I had three this week and though I still lost a pound, I bet I would have lost more if I hadn't eaten them. I plan to stop for a few weeks and not have and see if that makes the difference.

Kristin, I would recomend that you read An Unreasonable Fear of Owls? I felt the exact same way in that I didn't want to move beyond induction. I just worry that your body may get used to induction level carbs making it harder to loose later on. I wish you luck whatever you choose to do.

Kristen,

I found that staying too low for too long caused me to stop losing. . .you should be around 50 now. Not increasing allows your body to get used to that level and can make it infinitely harder to lose later at a higher level. Induction is just to get your body cleansed of sugar and to help you get rid of the cravings for sugar. Once off, you may find that you actually do lose a little quicker. Other than the third week I have lost about 2.5 lbs per week and have been increasing my carbs every other week--trying to let my dh catch up with me--he started three weeks after I did. Once we are on the same level I will increase with him. I tried to stay at 25 several weeks and found that I lost less the third week there than before without changing any of hte foods I ate or adding anything. You are not IMHO doing yourself any favors not finding your CCLL and finding what you can and cannot eat without changing your weight loss progress and you may find that you increase your ability to lose by eating a few more carbs--I did.
