Bought Mike's Hard Lemonade Lite last night. Said "2 Net Carbs" per bottle. It was $6.99 for a six pack (expensive!!)

Could not find any nutritional info on the bottle or box for them saying "net" carbs. And I cannot get to their website from work (blocked).

IMHO - Save your money cause it's too expensive! (Taste's like Frisca)

I'll stick to my 1 or 2 GreenLight's a night (or my favorite...White Grape Diet Rite and Vodka)

$6,99 for a six pack?!? Yikes. Good call on the save your money idea. They probably can charge extra just because of the low carb idea. I still wonder if it has sugar in it??

White grap and vodka?? I'm going to have to try it one of these days! Personally, i'm stuck in a morgan diet coke rut.

Geesh...I sound like a lush. I'm not, REALLY! LOL

WOW my local wing place has Mike's lite for 1.50 a bottle...and for the 6pack in the liquor store I paid 4.99. I LOVE the stuff....because I can't stand beer.

Otherwise...it's diet coke with a 1/2 shot of vanilla vodka.

I LOVE the Green Light! It tastes amazing. As for the Mike's I can live without it. Not sure how much alcohol they put into it in the U.s, but up here, it's 7% and I've learned my lesson drinking that stuff...it's not pretty.
Is diet Rite sweetened with Splenda?

Yeah, My DW and I were looking for something for when beer gets old (never!) so I was interested in the Mike's Lite as an occasional alternative. But its just too expensive around here for what you get.

Jenabee - Yes, the Diet Rite is sweetened with Splenda. Other than Vanilla Pepsi, I cannot stand the taste of aspertame (sp?)

Wolfman -

What are "Green Lights"? Is it a beer? I am looking for LC options for drinks. I've been sticking to about 2 glasses of dry white wine when we go out to dinner on weekends.

I'm not a lush either, just enjoy embibing occasionally!

Green Light is Rolling Rock's LC beer.

IMHO - I love it!

It tastes like a real beer (as opposed to Mich Ultra which tastes too watery to me..)

It also about a dollar cheaper a twelve pack that Mich.

For either, I sometimes add a slice of lime to get more flavor

hmmm, this is interesting to me. i usually drink dry red wine when "enjoying alcoholic beverages." but i think the carbs are starting to add up.
i gained 2 lbs after a party on saturday nite. boo. perhaps i should switch to diet rite (or other diet soda) and vodka?
i don't drink much, especially on this WOE. but you have to a social nite once in a while, right??

Yes.. even though alcohol consumption is discouraged...

If you must, then there are some decent options. Diet drink (coke, pepsi, diet rite flavors, etc) with a shot of liquor (vodka, rum. etc) equals ZERO carbs.

BUT! Your body will burn the alcohol as energy instead of the fat we are trying to get rid of until the alcohol is burned up.

So all in moderation.
