| I've been losing about 1 lb. every 2 weeks. Both my hubby & I seem to be doing this. Did you guys add the 5 carbs EVERY week regardless of whether you lost any weight or not or did you wait until you had lost another pound and then add the next 5 carbs? We've been waiting and adding the 5 carbs every other week. |

| What you're doing sounds fine. There are various ways of approaching the issue and everyone has to find their own way. Some people use the presence or absence of ketosis as a guide, some people use weight. Either way, as long as you stretch out to find your individual carb allowance, you won't back yourself into a minimal carb situation. You're doing fine! | I've still been registering on the sticks showing that I'm still in ketosis. I just hate to add more carbs the next week if I stay the same for this week. Seems like it's going SO slow! We're only up to 30 carbs right now and we started Jan. 25th. |

| Just be sure to keep your water intake up, aim for variety, get most of your carbs from low glycemic veggies and fruits and avoid lc "junk food" like the plague. One of the things you can do, is to journal or, from time to time, run your intake through fitday. Sometimes we forget, throughout the day, exactly what we've eaten. I suggest that because, some of us are just slow losers. I'm in that group. Others have found that they sometimes experience "carb creep", where they are actually at a higher carb count than they thought. Once you've satisfied yourself that you are getting exactly the number of carbs you think you are, then you have a couple of options. 1. Relax and enjoy the progressive, if slow weight loss, 2. Back off a couple of carbs, or 3. Increase your daily exercise. The third choice is best. Exercise changes your whole metabolism to burn everything more efficiently. Just a few things to consider. | Actually, I need to START exercising! LOL! The most I get is running up my stairs at home. I've got a low impact arobics tape that I need to start using. I've noticed that since I've started the Atkins prog. that whenever I run up the stairs, the muscles in my legs feel kind of like rubber (or jello LOL), instead of feeling normal. Any idea why, is this normal on this program, or am I just weird? This feeling hasn't been very conducive to making me want to start exercising again.
