Okay. I've been hovering around 136 for a couple of weeks. Here's my general menu.
b- 2 eggs, bacon, decaf w/cream
Vitamins w/ 2 C water.
exercise: 1 hr walking - 16oz. water
midmrng- usually the left over from bf.
Lunch - 1/2 subway wrap or Burger King w/o bun
16 oz. water
(also at my desk I drink 20oz. water)
Diner - fish, pork chop, chicken with veggies
Dessert: sf jello w/ cream or 2 TBSP peanut butter.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Seems OK to me, except I wonder about the sodium content in the BK burger. The fact that you are testing pink on the strips is good! Could be that becuase you don't have all that much to lose that your rate of loss will be slower.

As for the ketosis, if the strips are turning any color whatsoever, then you are in ketosis. It's like being pregnant...you either are, or you're not. There are no degrees to it.

The menu you posted seems to lack miserably in vegetables. You should be eating at least 3 cups of vegetables each day. Also, perhaps you could cook something the night before for your lunch the next day and take your lunch instead of eating fast food. It's been my experience that eating something you cook yourself leaves little doubt to its ingredients.

Also, how much weight are you looking to lose? If you are close to goal, then the weight loss will slow considerably.

Check the peanut butter....the sugar it contains could be causing you to stall.

Hi April,
Thanks for your suggestions. For a while I thought I was eating too much veggies. I like veggies. Like your suggestion about making my lunches. I've made some fresh chicken salad yesterday, Saturday, but with my hubby and daughter, don't know if it will last. I love a scoop on a bed of beets.
Gosh, now I have to eliminate peanut butter?
That was my ONLY treat besides sf jello
Do I have to watch salt, and calories now too?
Still confused about that. Can I add more fat?

I agree with April you need to eat a lot more vegetables. I don't think April was suggesting you give up peanut butter, only that your particular brand, (most brands) are high in added sugar. You would need to look for a brand of PB without added sugar. Usually the all natural and/or organic brands do not have added sugar. You will notice a slight difference in taste and constistency (you'll have to stir it).

Hope this helps.

Goldie, stalls are a VERY normal part of this process. I can't tell you how many times I've stalled, I've lost count. But you sound like you are doing everything right. Hang in there!!! Try to find some NATURAL peanut butter at a health food store.......just peanuts. Then you can still have it. The mainstream storebrands are really bad, and some I've even found to have hydrogenated fats in them AVOID those like the plague.

Just remember it's normal to stall. Ride it out. Your loss will continue!!!! I've lived it, I know!!!

I was in Trader Joe's and even their PB has the same amount of sugar listed as Jiffy. So I figure why pay more?
Actually, I was getting a side order of chicken and green beans at a Chinese take out at work for only 2 bucks. I had to watch the gravy, though. I thought I was eating too much veggies. So I stopped for a while. My dinner is usally at least 2 cups of some kind of veggie. But I rinse the Chinese take-out because the gravy is still there even when I tell them no gravy (since it's already part of the dish.) After I rinse the veggie I nuke it and it still tastes pretty good.
Okay, so this week it's beef and broccoli, chicken and green beans or steamed veggies for lunch. I can do that. Thanks everybody
