Kristen,

I'm from South Dakota where we still have 8-tracks and rotary phones (Ok, not REALLY.. ) But we still have our Carb Countdown Milk!!

I found Carb Countdown just in the regular milk section of my supermarket. I see your from St. Louis, so I'm not sure what big chains you have down there, but I"m sure one of them must have it or you could ask them to get it, I'm sure your not the only one looking! Its kinda by the soy milk and things like that. It has a cow on the front of it I believe...I didnt actually buy any, I just saw it.

Good luck on your milk quest!!!

Kristin:

I saw the Carb Countdown milk at SuperTarget the other day at the Lakeville, MN store. Not sure of your midwest locale, but there might be a SuperTarget (with the grocery attached) near you?

I just got the Blue Bunny Low Carb Yogurt from WalMart today. Has anyone tried these? I got them in Strawberry and Rasberry. They also have peach and vanilla.

What do you think of these?

Another question is how often do you use your low carb products?

Take care,

kit-kat, I haven't tried the Blue Bonny low carb yogurt. I would love to have some peach and raspberry.. be sure to post your opinion of them. I use Bryers Carb sense.. but only about 2 times per week... Bryers is absolutely great tasting.

I bought the Nature's Best Perfect Zero Carb Isopure shake mix because it is made with whey protein. It is so "gritty". I can't stand it. The flavor is good but the grit is just to much and it was expensive too. $40 for this huge jug and now I have to come up with ways to use it up. It's the creamy vanilla one and I can't even stand the grit to cook with it. I usually use shake mixes (Keto or Atkins brand) in pancake recipes for the protein powder and tried this one today. I had to gag them down and ended up feeding them to the dog! He liked them.
I like Atkins Ketchup. I want to try the Heinz LC one but haven't found it here yet. The Atkins BBQ sauce is just ok to me and too sweet for DH. The Atkins elbow mac and cheese was awful. I threw 1/2 of it away. Atkins cereals are ok, just not great. The mouth feel is "chalky" to me. I won't buy them again.
We use lots of Davinci and Nature's Flavors and Torani s/f syrups.
We liked all the Keto shake flavors. The puddings were to strange feeling (kind of spongy) and so was the ice cream mix. I used the coffee mixes and didn't want to pay that much for something I could make cheaper and would taste better. I flavor my coffee with the cocoa and s/f syrups and real cream. We both love the Keto Hot Cocoa mix.
Tried the Flax O Meal cereals and neither of us liked any of them. We prefer "Maggies Cereal" from the recipe room.
Of course most of the candies are wonderful tasting but the results were disasterous. Pain, bloat, gas and lots of "running" for the B/room. We rarely have them anymore. I think I've had 2 in five months.
I'm sure there are others but this is all I can think of right now. Mostly if there is something we want we try to find a LC recipe and make our own. It tastes better and we know the ingredients so there are no suprises. HTH

Lou,

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

I just tried the Blue Bunnie "Carb Freedom" raspberry yogurt (5 carbs) & it is INCREDIBLE!!!

I had one as a dessert after dinner, cause I just could not wait till tomorrow morning's breakfast to try one.

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!

Did I mention it was good?

Looked and tasted like my yogurt from the old days. Though sweetened with Splenda, instead of 33 grams of sugar!

Take care

Crys

I tried Atkins Morning Start cereal today.. the blueberry bounty.. Its good.. I can live with it, but it won't become my favorite. It only has 4 net carbs, so that goes a long way towards encouraging tolerance. I'm a cereal person, so now that I've discovered the carb countdown milk some wonderful person mentioned.... I'm all set!

I like the La Tortilla Factory Tortillas, DaVinci Syrups - I use raspberry and cherry with seltzer water to make "sodas", vanilla and hazelnut for my coffee. I have tried the Russel Stover Candies too...yumm!! I also like the carb sense yogurts from bryers. I have not tried the blue bunny ones yet...I will have to try those. That Carb Countdown milk sounds good too!

Oh, and the Atins Morning Apple bars are the bomb
