Well, to my surprise this morning I was 185lbs!

That's 10 lbs to go to my target! From there, I'll see if I should go to 165lbs (per the BMI tables).

That's 17 lbs since 1-02-04.

I was sitting at 188lbs for a while (few weeks) but with my work schedule this week I was unable to work out (or in most cases grab a lunch) so I'm not sure if its water weight that might come back when I start working out again (since it seemed to "fall off" over the last 2 days).

I'm not expecting the 10 lbs to go quitely but its nice to see my target on the horizon. I was really bummed that I got within 3 lbs of my target last year but my honeymoon and then the holidays blew me away (from 178 back up to 202 )

Quick stats: 5'11 Male, Real skinny arms and legs, maintain all weight in belly and face. Work out 5 days a week (3 days weights/cardio and 2 days cardio), top weight 220.

Congrats Wolfman.

175 would give you a BMI of 24.4, which would be good. Just keep in mind that going into the 22-23 range would decrease your chances of heart disease, and other problems even further, so 165 might be a good idea.

I was initially shooting for 160, just to get myself under 25, but then decided to go another 10 pounds for the health benefits.

In any event, it sounds like you will be starting pre-maintanance soon. I am not quite sure how that works, as I have always seen that as being so far away that I don't really have to worry about it yet. But you will have to raise your carb levels near to your critical carb level. Any plans on how to increase those carbs?

Thanks all for the support. LCE has made it alot easier to stay on course.

I'm already eating a 1000 times more vegies than I ever have so I'm not sure how I am going to up my carbs (with good stuff...). I'll probably stick to what I'm doing now and let my body just find its natural weight.

I can still never imagine myself at 165lbs...I was 155lbs when I graduated from highschool ('87) and those pictures show a "stick man".

But we shall see!

As you get closer to goal, rather than look to BMI you need to look at your individual level of fitness. A body fat analysis is a more accurate measure of fitness than BMI. It is possible to be heavier than allowed by the BMI if you have lots of muscle and lower body fat.

Congratulations on being so close to goal. I was 150 when I graduated high school and I know for a fact that I could not be that skinny again without a hospital being involved. 175 might be a good weight for you, Test it out. Start Atkins premaintenance program soon if you haven't already.

Wolf, HOW AWESOME!!! I am about 9 lbs from goal and have been there for about 4 months. It's true, when you get to within 10 lbs of your goal weight it seems to suddenly stop dropping off and becomes imperceptible. Been there, doing that. But that's okay!!!! I feel GREAT and have recently dropped another pound, WOOOHOO. so, it will probably come off slowly, just be mentally prepared for that. But I don't care anymore, I'm in it for the health benefits now, for life!!!

Thanks all again for the support!

It dawned on me that I can start adding "fruit" back into my WOE. I had been avoiding almost all fruit for so long that I simply forgot about it...duh!

I had already added nuts back in for snacks (which I think is what has caused my DW recently gastro issues...another thread on "liquid diet").

I did have a 1.5lb up tick this morning but I think it was because I did not get much water in this weekend. (not going to update signature until my offical weight-in on Friday)

I should be back to working out this week if my work schedule slacks up (put in 80 hours last week...too bad I do not get paid for any work past 40...would have been nice to pay off the credit card bill from the wedding and honeymoon...)
