Is it not a good idea to snack on pork rinds because of the sodium? I seem to stall when I have. Every now and then the need to snack sneaks up on me, and since I am past induction I have experimented with these. When I have, I have even went up in weight, then I drink lots of water and stick with induction for a couple days and it goes away. So, I just don't do it often.

sounds like you've figured it out on your own!
pork rinds are an acceptable snack (always check the label though, to be sure your brand contains 0 carbs) ...
but you're right - they are very high in sodium, and will often cause me to retain water, etc. so it's a YMMV thing (your mileage may vary). the way they affect you may differ from the way they affect others.
so go w/ what you've already figured out ... avoid them or eat them in extreme moderation w/ LOTS of H20.
best of luck!

Yes the same thing happens to me if I have more than a few. So I can use them as breading but not as a snack very often.

I always make a bit of a dip out of mayo or sour cream to go with my PRs. That way I eat fewer of them, and there's other stuff there to dilute the effect of the sodium. My favorite one is to mix up a little tuna with enough mayo to make it dippy. A few tablespoons of that and a handful of PRs is a great munchie.

No offense to anyone who eats these and like them, but I bought a bag and I tried one, it just made me sick. I don't know if they come in different flavors, that might help, but I just couldn't, so I snack on ice cubes, hmmmm speaking of which, that would count towards the water, right, lol

LOL Kristie, pork skins are the last thing I ever thought would be a snack food for me. I do like the cinnamon kind tho....
