I thought there may be others out there like me who were wondering if their weight goals were realistic. So I thought I would share ideal weightlink. I do not know if it is accurate. But after typing in all of the info I feel that my goal weight is right on target!
I hope some of you find it helpful!

I went back to try that....There are other weight recommendations on the page. They do seem to stay the same although the first one does change.
The first weight listed is from a survey I think.
This is from that weight listing "This shows the average weight that other people of your Age, Height, Weight and Gender would describe as their ideal weight."
Beneath that are medial recommendations and the Met Life tables and one more formula.

This is good indicator for some, but not all can do this, but I remember a time that I looked good, and that is the goal I'm reaching for. I was way too heavy at a time (then and now, lol), and incredibly still alive at a time that I was way way way too low.

On these calculators, they give you a "goal" weight, then when you read further down, they'll give you a weight of between two different weights. That is because, everyone is built differently, and they can't give an exact weight. But they are good indicators of where you should be.

Thanks for sharing this, it's pretty neat.

Interesting. Today my weight was 136.5. The table says the people's choice would be 133, and most of the others came in around 130-131. I have been considering dropping my goal another 5 pounds. This may have just sealed the deal.

I don't really beleive in this calculator anymore. A good friends lost about 40 pounds and is incredible looking at a size 4. We are both the same heighth, though she weight 6 lbs more then I, and I am a size 7, compared to her 4! I believe everybody's body is different. There are so many variables, that what is "ideal" for one person (of the same weight & build) is not technically ideal for another.

    I agree with Crys.

Even though I'm only 5'4, I'm a very muscular person. I dont think that I could ever be 111lbs...my body wasnt meant to be that small. And even though my goal weight is higher than what that chart said, I still think thats whats best for me.
