Hey guys! I’m feeling so good today!

These past few weeks have been tough for me. I’ve been doing pretty well on my woe but basically beating myself up (almost every day ) for having regained some of the weight I lost.

But, I’ve noticed in the last couple of weeks that I seem to be getting more “attention” from the opposite sex and I imagine that must mean I’m starting to lose my “puffiness.”

Last week while standing in line at Costco, the young cashier guy (I’m talking young! …my stepson’s age) was asking me why my Costco card looked so young and fresh. ? Well, I guess because it’s always in my wallet. He said yeah but everyone puts theirs in their wallet and it still looks beat up. I don’t know, perhaps it’s my “special” wallet that I love and have had since 1996??? He says no, you must have only been 15 years old in 1996, you didn’t have a Costco card!!!! Yeah, 15 + 14 = 29…

And then this morning, I noticed the manager at my local Starbucks eyeing me from afar. ??? I don’t know, this was out of the corner of my eye so I can’t be sure but that’s what it felt like.

So, while I’m drowning in self pity and guilt, I appear to be losing this weight steadily and my face (I guess) is starting to show it.

Why am I posting this? Because I feel so happy! I want to share the joy and let everyone know this….NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP. You must continue to plod along even when the future seems bleak. You never know when it will suddenly feel like everything is turning your way.

So, here I am in a self-portrait at my shop. And by gosh, my face does look better than 2 months ago. I guess even though the scale didn’t move in February, the “weight loss gremlins” were still hard at work.

Thanks for listening to me ramble.

just to make you feel better Marcie, but 1996 was 8 years ago, so he thought you were 23. Nice compliment.

You Do look Good!! Everyone is entitled to shave a few years off their age. How about LCE sets the standard at one year off for every 10 pounds you lose?

Thanks for the support guys. I know I can always count on you!

As for the 29, I mean in 1996 I was 29, not 15 and not now, I'll be 37 in May!

But that’s OK, I’ve already decided I’m going to age gracefully

It's like me Marcie...just turned 46 and still look like 35-38 from what people tells me or they are just being polite..hahaha ok ok seriously...my husband is going to be 40 and i look younger and it gets him all pee off..hahahah...so we must be doing something right...when i walk with my 25yr old his friends thinks im the big sister...hehe

I always believe if your a women or man no matter what age you are, you have got to take care of yourself as young as possible...yes i know good genes helps too...but if you have children you have to keep them fit, eat properly, dress them well so they always have a good selfesteem and respect themselves through out life...never let yourself go no matter what size you are! big or small you deserve it to yourself...

For the pass year reading all sorts of post on this WebPage, your all sexy and fighters to me and I know we will all make it somehow...

hang in there all

Enjoy it while you are still young enough to look even younger. Eventually, age does catch up with you, looks wise. I have an 83 year old bowling partner. She looks healthy and fresh for her age but you definitely know she is up there. I hope I look that good when I get to her age.

For myself, I was always told I looked younger than I was until I started lcing. At 50 my hairdresser, of all people, thought I was her age(40). I don't hear it so much anymore, probably because I've lost a lot of fat on my face. One guy I know even said I wasn't a day over 62, which is quite a bit more than my real age. I don't know if he was pulling my leg or if he really believed it. He has given me lots of compliments on my weight-loss journey. I see him once a month and he always has a comment for me but teases me about eating the Atkins way(I've cleaned up just what he says because it would offend some people).

I don't worry about how old I look anymore. I concentrate on how I feel and it is so much better than 1 year, 8 months ago. Now if someone could tell me how to stop seeing only my flaws, I'd be so much better off.

Marcie: Last Sunday night a 40 yo guy told me that he was attracted to me. I laughed, slapped him on the arm and said, "Get out of here! I'm old enough to be your mother."

Then last night another 40 yo guy called me "elderly." (I'm 60, but look younger)

Go figure! All I really care about is how I think I look. It helps to take pics. I've avoided the camera for so long, I forget to do that.

Peace, Peg
