| Hi all, I am proud to say I finally had a woosh and can claim a 3 pound loss after a looong wait. I owe the experts here a big thanks and want to encourage all the newbies to keep up the good work and check here often. There is so much good info and encouragement to be had here. My DH finally joined me in this WOL and my short order cook days are finally over.....just one meal to fix at a time. He's doing great but it is hard because he eats no vegetables other than green beans. That includes no salads or anything. He was always a meat and potato and lima bean man. But he has been so encouraged by his belly going down he is willing to stick to it. As an observation......the news is full of obesity being such a problem....when do you think the government will finally realize their stupid pyramid is not working and re-think things? I'm sure its hard for the Dr.s to cry uncle!!! Anyway just wanted to check in and let all the wonderful moderators know how much I appreciate all their work and knowledge.

| Congratulations, Becki on losing those three pounds. Great news that DH is now LC. You should try the mashed cauliflower, caulibrowns or fried turnips. My two teenage sons and DH are big potato fans, but they really like the faux-tato recipes I mentioned. Most of these are in the cooking forum. Good luck, and "keep on keeping on"! |
