Hi Girls (and boys)

I have SO many clothes now that are too big, so many I've been carrying along and haven't worn, waiting for the right time to wear them, Im afraid now it will be never. What have you all done with your clothes? Sell them online? I created a little webpage with them, but I am wondering are there other ways to do this.

btw, here is the url to the webpage with stuff that I am selling.

http://merdiva.photosite.com/sale/

Ideas???

thank you, I was thinking of a yard sale, but the street I live on is a busy street and its hard to stop and park. I dont like ebay, its such a pain in the arse. I wish we had a clothes swap coop here in the bayarea, there must be so many of us that are in the same boat, rowing our way to healthy bodies and good spirits.

I gave most of mine to my daughter for a yardsale, and the rest I gave to an elderly friend. I love my smaller sizes.. glad to get rid of the larger stuff.

Merdiva,
Have you thought about taking them to a consignment shop? They will sell your stuff for you and take a part of the profits. I love to shop in the nicer consignment shops. I find wonderful things that aren't to pricy.

I have never sold anything in them, but my friend does and she makes a good deal of the purchase price back.

My daughter is one size larger than me and we both just lost weight, so my old stuff fits her just fine.

Of course, since she's 18, all she had to do to lose weight was not think about it.

Our consignment shops here only want really high end label things and most of them are not good to do business with

I sold a lot of things in a local consignment shop where I used to live. The owner had a couple of regular customers that she notified whenever I brought things in. Nearly everything sold quickly. I also bought things there in smaller sizes. There was a consignment shop in a nearby town that specialized in large-size clothing, but I never visited it. You have to split the sale price (in my experience 50-50), but to me it was worth it. I also sold a bunch of stuff that the shop didn't want in the annual neighborhood yard sale.

I might try to do a yard sale, its the presentation and where to display all the clothes that is the tough part. Plus the street I live on is really busy which is good, but hard to stop and park which sucks

A friend of mine started losing weight right behind me so she started getting into sizes I was getting out of...I passed all my clothes down to her...most recently, I passed her my size 7's to size 12's...but she hasn't looked through the bag yet 'cuz she's still waiting to get there...don't be afraid you'll never get to wear those clothes again...be GLAD you'll never get to wear those clothes again...as soon as I start fitting into a smaller size comfortably, the bigger clothes go - even if it's just one size up. It's an incentive to keep losing and going...and you know what the funny thing is? I use to think size 6 jeans were too small for me to wear...now I look at them and think 'I'm still too big' (of course, I still have 24 lbs to go - that's probably why)...when I told my friend I could get into size 3 dresses, she said 'that just seems so small'...I know it won't seem small to her once she reaches her goal as well...

Gilley, I have that size in abundance and while I am wearing my 18's right now I won't be in a few weeks and they willb e up for sale too. I am sending my bigger things to Joanna already! If you want some of them PM me and I will let you know what I have! I have said I think we should have a clothing exchange here on this site since so many of us are going through things so fast right now--well, all the time really--newbies coming in and old ones changing sizes! I am keeping one of each size for photo ops after I am finished losing!
