Hi,
In efforts to find out why I am so tired/yawning all the time I went to fitday.com to see my totals.

I now need to know how many fat and protein grams I should be eating a day.

I found my calorie total was low...but that my fat and protein were way high.

I am really stalled and haven't lost in weeks now and I feel that I haven't progressed and do not know how to get back on track.

I have had some berries/walnuts and have even eated 1/2cup of low carb ice cream for two nights in a row. Last night I finally washed the ice cream down the drain as I do not want to be eating it.

Good for you in dumping the LC icecream down the drain. It's my weakness too. I'm vowing not to buy it again for a month!

As far as being tired, how much water are you drinking? Are you sleeping well?

One more thing, you need to up your calories. Not good to have too many.

someone more experienced then me will answer this for you, lol. But I do know you have to drink plenty of water.. increase the amount you are drinking if necessary. And I was always told that low calorie, and low carb didn't mix, because on atkins we are watching carbs.I have also seen it posted that the low carb Ice Cream, or other such things do have an effect on some people. Excercise is an important key. I stalled just recently, and gained 3 pounds and couldn't get it off for the life of me. someone told me my body was in starvation mode because I was eating too few carbs, and I needed to increase them from 20- 30 carbs. Perhaps this would work for you if you ate a little more then you do now, for a few days. Don't give up...hang in there.
By the way, whoever gave me the above advice... IT WORKED! Thanks a bunch!.. I'm now down 3 1/2 pounds! (I don't care if I lose more, I simply don't want to gain..)

I drink about a gallon of water each day. The only carbs I eat during the work day is from the salad I eat at lunch time.

Today I had a yogurt with some walnuts and it was good and I am not hungry.

I have a very old mattress and such and I was always tired before I went on this WOE....but I am not sure it is the bed. I go to bed at 10pm and get up at 6am.

Any other suggestions/observations???

Kristin

Do you mean LC yogut or normal yogurt???
If you're eating regular yogurt it could be stalling you.

good luck

No it is low carb yogurt, 4oz. size with three carb grams. Rasberry flavor.

I tried to find LC yogurt on Fitday to see my totals today, but could not find it.

Hi Kristin,

In my signature you'll find a link to my fitday journal. I keep my cals somewhere between 1400 and 1800 (exceed 2000 sometimes ). I think that the best distribution of the three nutriants (at least for me) are 70% fat, 20% protien and 10% Carbs. I've been keeping this fairly consistent over the last four months and have had a regular 1-2 lb weight loss per week. Not had any exhaustion, although sometimes I get real hungry before dinner.

You can enter your yoghurt into fitday as a custom food. Look back a week or so and you'll see it on my menu. I've been on vacation this week and haven't pick any up in the store.

Good luck,
