| Hi all, I guess I should be posting here now since I am on week 7 and not in induction anymore. I have a crazy question. Yesterdya a mom at my son's school was telling me that she did Atkins a while back, she said that if she was stalled for a couple weeks that if she went off the program for just one day and got back on Induction for a week that would get her losing again. She said you can only do it for one day and get right back on or you could gain. Is this nuts? Has anyone done this or heard this? Thanks, Kristin S. |

| I've heard of other people doing that as well. Actually, I'll confess...I've done it as well but usually, I'd do it for two days and then get back on the program. One of Dr Atkins books had some info about this - doing something called a 'reversal' where you eat pasta for two days and then get back on. I guess, from my understanding, it shocks your system and that's why it works. And while it has worked for me...I have found a better solution. If I get stalled, I just increase my carb intake by 5 grams and change up my exercise routine a little bit and that gets me losing again...of course, with anyone breaking a stall, your mileage may vary. | yes, this was discussed in another thread here: Shock Your System? general opinion was that it's dangerous, not the best idea ...
