| On this topic... I got my mother (and Aunt) to recently read the good Doc's book and start LCing. Her first complaint (after losing 10 lbs) was that she felt that her fat had been smoothing out the wrinkles in her face but now that she was losing they were coming back... I was at a loss to answer (I'll pass on the good replies here..)

| Truthfully, I have noticed more wrinkles since losing the weight. I have seen it on many people who have lost weight as well. They have younger looking bodies, but older looking faces. People who meet me for the first time are shocked to learn that I am in my forties and have five grandchildren, but lately although many people are commenting on my weightloss none are saying anything about the youthfulness. It could be just catching up with me...nothing to do with the diet, but under my chin I am developing loose skin, under my arms as well. I will continue to exercise and do this woe because ....for me, an older looking face is worth it. I want to be able to be active and healthy. I want to be able to sit in a theatre and not feel embarrassed that the person next to me is probably dreading it. I want go on the rides at Great America, get in a canoe, and sit on a man's lap...I want to go bike riding with my kids and shop at the "regular" stores. I understand how you feel. I know! I have had those thoughts as well. But, the trade off is worth it......I got myself into this situation...and if I pay with a few wrinkles and extra skin....que sera..sera...

| i dont know if a TONER is what i use it for exactly... but i know that it does allow the top layer of skin to slough off easier.. to allow fresher newer skin to show through.. LOVE that...:-) |

| Yes, I am concerned about sagging also, but I feel so much better. I do not have a scale, so I don't know at this point how much weight I have lost since my Dr's. visit in December. This post has brought up some great suggestions, esp. about exercise, water and lotions. Whatever stage we are in, a reminder about tending to this area of this WOE is always good. Thanks for all the posts on this. It really has me thinking. k.

| I'm 60. My face is definitely more wrinkled than it was before I lost 35 lbs. But, I'll tell you what, I wouldn't trade the waistline, the smaller boobs, the smaller sizes, the ability to climb stairs, go 12 hours at a time with energy left over, the smaller tummy and backside, the general feeling of well being, for any thing in the world! I'll take wrinkles any day. Nobody ever comments! Mostly people say how youthful I am because of my energy and my attitude. I have 6 kids and 5 gkds. I'm proud of my wrinkles. I earned every one!
