I'm not on induction, even tho I eat like I am. I can't have bread very often either, but I have tried both Sara Lee, and Natures own, and personally, I like Natures own better. Its equal in taste to Sara Lee,its cheaper, and lower in Carbs.. and altho its brown, it tastes white.

My favorite - Arnold Carbsense, available everywhere in white, italian, whole wheat (good) or multigrain(best). 6 gms carb per slice, so use it sparingly.

I found a LC bread that i like from a sugar free store. They make it themselves and its really low. I forget the exact carb count. They also have many different types. www.sugarfreedom.org

This is what i got about the sugar freedoms bread on their website. However its not cheap $6 bucks a loaf.

Sugar Freedom breads available in Plain, Cinnamon , Onion Garlic, Pumpernickel and Rye. The lowest carbs bread available on the market. Each loaf contains 18-22 slices.

Serving size: 1 Oz is equal to 2 slices after fiber subtraction, 1.5 carbs per 1 slice. 8 grams fiber per ounce

Ingredients:
Soy flour, Bran, soy Gluten, Soy Protein, Oat Fiber, Fiber Extract, Wheat Protein, Vegetable Oil (Soybean and Palm Oil), Dough conditioner, Salt, Yeast, Purified Water, Sucrolose, Tartaric Acid.

I know a lot of these things are regional, and I don't know your location, but we can get Oroweat Carb Counting bread here and we really like it. There is wheat and multigrain. I prefer the latter.

It's 6 grams per slice, so I don't eat a lot of it, but it sure fills the bill when you need a piece of bread every now and then! Tastes like "regular" bread to me.

I use the Arnold's Carb bread at 6 carbs per slice. Now that I've found LaTortilla tortilla's though, I rarely use it. Save it for a piece of toast with my eggs/bacon on the weekend

I'm out of induction, and in my area I can't find any bread that I would feel comfortable eating (meaning: I would feel like it's cheating). I am sure I am allowed, I'm up to 45 grams of carbs a day (that's all I can take, any more, and I stall and feel horrible).

Aunt Millies brand puts out 3 LC breads: 5 grain-7 carbs, light potato-5 grams, whole grain-4 carbs. This is for 1 slice and net carbs. I get these at the day old bakery for 59 cents per loaf but I have seen them at Meijer stores, too. Good Luck! Karen

I like the Counting Carbs bread too, Char.

Have you tried the "I'm watching my carbs" bread from Vons? It's very good.

The white version (I think they call it "original") has 10 carbs with 4 FIBERS! So it's 6g like many other breads but with 4 times the fiber. I like all that fiber.

I made a grilled cheese with it and it was great. Ditto on the french toast. Tasted just like regular french toast and, as a bonus, this bread is a little denser than some I've tried so it held up well to cooking and didn't just wither away under the weight of oil or eggs, etc.

You have to really look for it though. The package is just plain, clear wrapping with a smallish label only on the very front. It's obvious they just smacked it together really fast! No "real" packaging, just a quickie label slapped on the clear wrap.

Even though it's a little on the expensive side - I like the Hearth Multigrain bread. It's $3.99 for a loaf and has 4.4 net carbs per slice...but it taste really, really good, and it's thick just like regular bread...yummy toasted with some butter on it...
