| To day is the end of week one. I lost 1.5 lbs. Although I am very dissapointed I refuse to give up. This was my menu everyday for week one. B-2 boiled eggs, sausage L-2pieces baked chicken 1.5 cups salad D 2pieces baked chicken 1.5 cups salad,brocolli snack green tea -100 oz. water The week before I did the cabbage soup diet. I lost 18 lbs. Maybe this is why I didn't lose this week ? Please give me some advice. |

| Oh, man, Charlyne... I'm afraid you *did* set yourself up for a metabolic "backlash" by doing the cabbage soup diet. You do realize that is pure *starvation* right??? You didn't really lose 18 pounds in a week -- you lost muscle and water. Your low-carb menu looks pretty good. Have you read the book? This is very important if you want to be successful on this woe (way of eating). Also important: how much water are you drinking? Even *slight* dehydration can slow your rate of loss significantly. Aim to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water per day (SIP through the day -- don't guzzle!). FINALLY, how much do you have to lose? If it's less than 20-30 pounds, your rate of loss will be slower than someone with more to lose... Just stay the course and you will do fine. I truly hope this helps.

| I'm sure that has something to do with it. You basically had yourself in starvation mode before starting. you may not see the quick result you had there - and your body needs to adjust - but you will be much happier on this. You will not be hungry and your health should improve.

| EVERYDAY.. that is your menue... you will get bored w/ that very fast.. do you not like red meats.. hamburger, steaks, roast, what about fish, your body probly had alredy lost most of its inital weight doing that cabbage soup diet.. now you will slowly loose weight from here on.. beacuse you were not eating high carb foods your body has alredy flushed most of the garbage out..

| thank You so much for the feed back. !don't do crazy diets like that often. I did not like it so I decided to switch to low carb. I want to lose 100lbs. That is alot. I will be patient.And yes I have read the book. |
