After almost 4 months of not going off plan and losing and gaining the same 5lbs, I had a huge weekend. Here I am after eating 1/2 pizza, butter pecan ice cream w/chocolate sauce (I don't even like butter pecan ice cream) and a bear claw with both apple and cherry topping, up another 1.5 lbs. Oops I fogot about the red beans and rice. I can't believe I ate all of this food in one day. I thought I would be physically ill afterward, but I was just tired. Eating all of that crap really didn't prove anything. Wish I hadn't done it. I really believe that this way of eating is healthier and that's the only reason I stick with it at all. I just keep hoping the weight loss is going to happen. Is it possible that some people just don't lose weight eating this way.

While this woe may not be for everyone, I think most people will get benefits from it. Have you posted a few days menus for the forum to look at and give suggestions. Remember you have the benefit of hundreds of people's experiences on this woe to draw on. Take advantage. List your menus, including portion sizes and lets see what that gets you. Don't worry about a one day binge just drink lots of water and get right back on the plan.

Like Rob said, don't worry about a one day binge. You might have gone off plan, so forgive yourself, get back on plan and move on. I use to do that a lot, too - do sooo good during the week and on the weekend, I would totally binge and all that got me on Monday morning was a 5 lb weight gain and sugar cravings that I had to fight off for a whole week! It was like restarting induction. Once I realized I was sabotaging myself, I stopped doing the weekend binge 'cuz the only place that was getting me was the scale moving up, not down like it should have been. Not one diet fits everyone but there are a lot of health benefits from eating this way. That's how I look at it - no matter how slow the weight loss is - and mine has been S - L - O -W. But the new increased energy level and the no sugar cravings are worth this woe! Sheyla 186/127/105 60.5 inches

Thanks for the advice. I went back on plan yesterday and made sure to get my water in. This is the longest I've ever stuck with any eating plan and I will continue. A lot of good things have come from eating this way. Hopefully the weight loss part of it will kick in.
