OK, so I knew that would grab your attention!

After reading Calleva's thread, I remembered this being a topic from the old forum. Someone compared losing fat to having marshmallows taped all over your body. Then taking them off pound at a time. Think of how many inches you would lose as well.

It takes a heck of a lot of marshmallows to make a pound. So, that explains why we lose so many inches with LC. Fat is not dense, but takes up more volume.

I still feel I've got a lot of marshmallows taped to my person. Would have needed more than one reel of scotch tape!! LOL!!!

Yep, it's my favorite physics lesson: Mass and weight are NOT the same!

Someone here has that great pic of fat and muscle, and you can see the difference. Hopefully they'll see this and post it again!

Well, the topic certainly will make ya wanna read this one! LOL I know at Curves, they have a pound of fat sitting on the desk when you walk in the front door...you can't help but to see it. When you think of each pound being that much off of your body, it's a great motivator! You guys are great! I just loooooove this place. You all are so encouraging. I am addicted to this website! haha

Speaking of marshmallows...has anyone tried making any of the various LC marshmallow recipes out there? If so, are they "toastable"? We live out in the country and have many bonfires this time of year, and I know I will have a hard time with resisting the s'mores.

Hmmm...sounds like an experiment to me!

I found a website that has a photo of 5 lbs fat vs. 5 lbs muscle (plastic replica). I would have preferred to look at marshmallows, but...
