Hi. I'm not from Tallahassee but I am from Pace which is about 3 hours north of Tallahassee. I know that's not terribly close but........!

Maybe we could be email buddies or something just for support!!

OH, I just read your profile, so you must be near Pensacola then right?

I'm 30 w/ a 2.5 year old, I don't have a dh unfortunately but we have kids the same age, that's cool.

I wanted to try curves myself, but it's on the wrong side of town for me and my schedule... ;( So, I go to YMCA..

Crystal,

Yes, I am very close to Pensacola. Actually probably about 7 miles.

Is your 2 year old a boy or girl?

I think you'd enjoy Curves if it were closer to you. It's quick and generally fun. Ours is a blast because we have lots of "crazy" ladies that go.

So how much weight have you lost so far? How long have you been doing low carbs?

I've only just recently started doing low carbs(3-1-04). It's definitely a new way of thinking. I've had to be de-programed I did really well for the first two weeks and then I got an intestinal bug and it about killed me (at least I felt that way ). Anyway, I stayed sick for a week. I started over in Phase I of my diet this past Monday. I only began feeling descent again this past weekend so I'm back on the bandwagon.

I follow the Curves diet. Actually, I have began teaching the classes at our club. I went to training two weeks ago so I'd be on top of the weight loss thing. Curves diet is similar to Atkins except for the high fat. Also, Curves teaches something different as far as keeping the weight off once it's lost. Anyway, I have about 70 lbs. to go before I have to worry about that ! I'm pretty happy I guess considering the illness in the middle of the program. I have lost about 9 lbs. in about two weeks (that's subtracting the week for being sick although I didn't eat anything bad - I just didn't eat anything which is just as detrimental to a weight loss program as eating to much).

Tell me a little about your program you are following and what your progress has been.

BYE,
Paula

Well, I started Atkins on Jan. 5th but had done it for about 2 months a couple of years ago. Back then I lost 17 lbs. then I don't know what happened, I just quit? Now, I've lost only about 14 lbs. in 12 weeks. I think it's slower because I've done it before?

I've had that all too well known stall for about 4 weeks, or had I should say, I finally lost a lb. after re-inducting this week.

I feel like it's helping alot (although at first I had my doubts), I've lost about 9 inches all over too, that makes a difference.

I'm down a dress size which is nice and I've got about 40 more lbs. to go?

I start the Y the same time and went religously at first, then stopped and now I'm going back again. I'm glad because I feel better when I go.

It's hard to let go of the idea of fat and calories, so I've still had those in the back on my mind, people say if I ate more and ate more fat I'd lose more, but? I don't know if I can. I just do what I feel is right.

My 2.5 yr. old is a girl, her name is Lexi. She is quite a handful I must say
