I am a big peanut butter lover...and I am just wondering for those of you out there who love PB as much as me - how much do you usually have during the week - or even during the day for that matter? I know it's lc and the All Natural is the best...but should there be a limit to how much you have in a week or a day? Maybe that's the question I'm trying to ask here. Yeah. I think that's it.

I use the Smuckers all natural and it's net 5 gms net for a 2 TB serving. I can often fit a TB or so into my allowance for the day. I like it on celery best.

If you make a peanut butter smoothie, you'll get all the peanut butter flavor without so much of the carbs.

I take a cup of Hood carb countdown milk or chocolate milk, a tablespoon of peanut butter, a little LC vanilla or coconut syrup, and ice, and blend it, adding ice until thick. It's excellent, and very peanut buttery. About 200 calories.

Smuckers Natural is great AND it comes in smooth or chunky. I stir it up to mix the oil, then store in the fridge.

I hate to admit this, but I've even added some Splenda to a jar before stirring. Now, that IS a dangerous jar of peanut butter!

I just can't measure out peanut butter like a sane person. It is my downfall, so I've decided to eliminate it completely.

I had to eliminate PB too because it's habit forming. I'll add it back once I get to goal weight, though. I have tried almond butter and it's been easier for me to regulate because although the texture is nearly identical, the taste is completely different (but good).

I have trouble with peanut butter, I usually get Laura Scudders(sp) natural. But I have to really watch peanut butter - from my old WW days it was a Red Light food - I usually don't keep it in my house much - only one that eats is and when I eat it I eat it....and not just 2 TBs, more like 6TBs or more.... right out of the jar with a spoon is best....

Ahhh peanut butter....

My roommate just bought some from Trader Joe's last night. She doesn't do locarb and has it for a snack w/ an apple. I find myself slowly gazing at it from across the kitchen until finally I break and have two tablespoons. Good thing the TJ's brand is low in carbs and natural. Such a perfect food.

lmao.....you peeps and your peanut butter. This is one of those YMMV items. My mom LOVES PB and had it for a snack everyday. She couldn't figure out why she was stalled. Took it away and dropped 10 lbs in 2 weeks.

Whole Foods Market has a peanut butter that has no added sugar. But any PB that you buy should have an ungredients list that says, Peanuts, salt. I'm also one who has had problems portioning out PB. What I do is steal a couple spoonfuls of my sister's PB and then tell her to hide the jar until I'm gone.

I use carb options pb..it has a total of 3 net carbs per 2 Tablspoons full. I put it on one piece of natures own low carb bread, fold it over and have it for lunch. Surprisingly, its very satisfying, but I only do it a couple times a week.

I was in the grocery this morning and I was looking at the carb options pb; it contains partially hydrogenated oils . I think I'll stick with the all natural stuff.
