I don't have a problem with it at all--cane ven do aspartame but prefer Splenda's flavor. IT is very mucha YMMV thing. I have lost 35 pounds in 12 weeks without giving up caffine!

there will probably be mixed reactions to caffiene..it does affect some people, but others seem to be able to handle it... I posted this before but you know that walmart commercial where the kids are dragging mama out of the store kicking and screaming??That would be me if someone tried to take away my caffeine..lol... but I do agree, if you are trying to drink as much water as you are suppose to, it don't leave much time (or room) for other beverages... I guess I get too much caffeine, and I know a cup or two a day would be ok, but we all have crutches, and thats mine! Caffeine.

I gave up my beloved coffee for the first 2 months of this woe. In those 2 months I don't think I was ever fully awake before noon. As far as stalling weight loss when I added it back (half-caf) I think it might have cost me a half pound a week. But I was losing 2 or 3 pounds a week then so I could afford to give up a 1/2. Now that a good week is a pound and my average loss for 2004 is .8 pounds per week, that's significant. But I don't really know if it had this effect on me or not. There are so many other factors, so how can you tell.

I limit myself to 1-2 cups per day, caffeinated of course! What's the point of coffee without caffeine? Like everyone else, though, I believe we are all different and you have to figure out what works for you. I do use real cream but no sweetener. And I drink a full glass of water before and after each cup of coffee to rehydrate.
