Hiya!

I've been away for weeks!!! Life got in the way but I have maintained LC for the duration.

There was a little accident at the rifle range on 2/15 that has messed with my life a bit. My hearing was damaged when the recoil from the rifle I was firing knocked away my hearing protection. For now it looks like the loss of about 25% is going to be permanent. *shrug* That, I'll deal with. There are plenty of things that can be done with hearing aids. Right now it's a nuisance because so much of my work is normally done by phone.

Anyhow... my point of frustration now is that because of the steroids I was on for 15 days, due to the injury, the weight I have struggled so hard to lose has been regained. Prednisone is not a low carber's friend!!!

Since I'm only losing about a pound a month, this is a 4-5 month setback. Gotta love the glacier loss that gets compounded by sliding right into an ice flow

Anyhow, I'm back to the Board and still swinging along. I lost it once and it'll go away again.

But MAN, I sure hated updating my numbers going the WRONG way!!

Ginger

Ginger
So sorry you're going through this. Now that you are off the prednisone the weight may fall off more easily because it was gained in a short period. Good for you for sticking to low carb through this ordeal.

Ginger, I'm sorry about your hearing loss. You have a great attitude. I can really relate about the steriod issue. I take anywhere from 5-10mg daily of prednisone, depending on the state of the R.A. I've had to do this for the last 5 years and it's no fun. Hope to see you on the forum more often, now that things are settling down a bit for you.
