My husband brought home a new find at our local Sams, and I was wondering if anyone had tried these? They are called Carb Chopper, wheat tortillas. The packages lists no cholesterol, hydrogenated oils or trans fats, and the total carb count is 6net. The company name is Santa Fe Tortilla Company. Ive only been able to find the Tortilla Facory 1x when I was out of town, so if these are any good, Im gonna be one happy chick! I dont know how much he paid for them but there are 20 in the bag and they are good sized.
Anyone had these?

They wouldn't have them at Wall Mart, would they? Don't have a Sams Club membership...

Bummer! (no tortillas)

On the weather, I have been locked up in the data center all day (no windows) so I only got to see it for a few minutes at lunch.

Been working doubleshifts (no pay for OT) on a project for 3 weeks straight (arrive at work in the dark and leave to go home in the dark...) All week and weekends...

I'm curious what the Sam's Club tortillas taste like too. I can't stand the taste of the Tortilla Factory tortillas. Too much soy taste! I'll look for the Santa Fe brand at my 2 Sam's Club stores. Do they come in mega sized packs? I'm the only on LC in my family. Everyone else eats regular ones.

Update.. I was not able to find the Mission Tortillas at Super Walmart but I did find some "Beuna Vista" (sp?) Low Carb ones. I have not tried them yet but they are made from Whole Wheat and have 4 net carbs if I remember right. They had two brands (one in a red package an one in a blue package) The Blue ones (flour) were marked Low Carb but had about 10 carbs per.

I saw at Farm Fresh a bin for Chef Garcia Low Carb Tortillas but they were all sold out.

An update:
I found these tortillas at Sam's last week and bought some. My opinion? They are pretty inexpensive, they taste really good, and they seem to really have the number of carbs in them that they say they do. They have NO trans-fats, either. I like them!
If your Sam's Club doesn't carry them, ask the manager. They will order stuff for you very often. Another option is to go to Sam's website and do a search...they will tell you if they stock what you are looking for and get your order together and have it ready when you get there. Pretty neat!

Oh yes definetly try these tortillas, they are really great. I found them in the bakery section of our sams club. And the size is very generous. Best deal ive found on tortillas thus far.

Humpf. We don't have Sam's here.

I buy the Mission ones on occasion, Terry, but they are highly addictive to me. I can't keep them in the house or I end up eating them with everything.

btw, my kids love them.

It really bugs me that the Mission ones have transfats in them, too. I wish they would use plain, old-fashioned lard instead of shortening.
