| I have decided to quit obsessing about these last two lousey pounds! I just can't seem to lose them, so, I have decided to just live with them. They seem to have a will of their own, no matter what I do they still keep holding on with all their might. Less carbs, more carbs, more exercise, different kinds of exercise,It doesn't seem to make any difference. So, I surrender!!! I will maintain at this weight, and if they decide to just up and leave sometime this year, I will give them a farewell party! But if they decide to stick around, I'll be ok with that too, as long as they don't bring back any of their long lost friends to hang around with them. |

| well good luck keeping them off... and rember that if you start to bring unwanted weight back.. it is beacuse your body isnt handleing the carbs you are takeing in... i would definatly watch your intake even if you are quiting.. you do not want to end up in worse shape than you were when you started 15 months ago... good luck!

| Congratulations, E.T. I am a glacier loser too. I sometimes wonder if I should just give up trying to lose more too. I battle with what my mind says is okay, and what the charts say is "right." I congratulate you for making a decision. Two pounds is not much, and I predict that it will come off in its own good time! Peace, Peg 1/1/03 205/173/155 5'8"

| I think your decision is very wise. Set yourself free of that obsession. Just set a range and don't go over that. Congratulations on the progress you made in the past 15 months! |

| Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement. I really believe I have my weight under control for the first time. I am very happy with my results even though it took a long time getting here. I have learned a lot of important lessons over the last fifteen months, and the most important one is never give up on yourself. Take one day at a time, each day, is one day closer to your goal. You will make it!! |

| Ya know? I stall on a regular basis. I'm at the point now where I am feeling pretty good about my body image. (It doesn't hurt to have a day like today where everyone was telling me I look GREAT!!! I will eat this way the rest of my life, so if the rest comes off, it comes off. And if it doesn't, who the heck cares???? Not me!!!! (I'll be the first one on this board yelling from the rafters if another pound comes off though, )

| Congratulations on "quitting"! Given the starting point and the journey, I'd say you've arrived and those last 2 pounds are just a little slow in getting the message<G>. I'm approaching my 1 year (again-aversary) on LC. I've had some starts and stops and stalls along the way. I'm stalled right now due to a 15 day round of steroids (long story... another thread Sounds like you've made it and that's always such a joy to hear! Best wishes, Ginger

| I couldn't believe my eyes this morning. I stepped on the scales and was down 0.5 a pound. Even though I quit obsessing about the last two pounds it was still a good feeling. He came back to the table with a beautiful piece of Boston Cream Pie. So there he was, devouring his cake and I sat there drinking my decafe watching him. He looks up at me and ask's, do you want a bite? I thought about it for one second, OK, I'll have a bite, I have one fork full, savored it, had another fork full, savored that, and then put my fork down, finished my decafe, and watched as hubby polished off the rest of the cake. |

| E.T., CONGRATULATIONS! You've just crossed over from this being a "diet" to this being a "lifestyle" - when you can have "a bite or two" and then stop and not go off on a binge. And on top of it, you're down 1/2 a pound. I'd say you've had a really good day

| E.T. 04-01-04, 12:29 PM Thanks, for your feedback and support Marcie. Yes, I'm sure I have arrived. After sixteen months of eating Low Carb it is really second nature to me. I can't imagine eating any other way. |
