Anyone heard of these, or know what exactly they do and if they work? Are they safe?

I got a certificate for one free body wrap, so just curious before I go ahead and do it.

Thanks

I LOVE body wraps, I usually get a body mud wrap or herbal wrap, it helps with detox, exfoliates and just makes your skin oh so much nicer.

If you're talking about the body wraps that are supposed to make you loose weight, I saw one on TV and supposedly it works. I dont think there were any adverse effects either.

cant wait to hear how this works..i always figured it was like what happened when they wrapped my leg after my operation ... the ace bandage squished the fat down and compacts it.. okay.. maybe it was swelling..*L*
anywho... i know that it plumps back out in due time..
i heard ages ago about doing that with saran wrap around your waist for the same TEMPORARY fix for a day when you wanted something to fit better..

This one is for a local place, and it says it helps tighten loose skin, and takes inches off be detoxifying, and toning. Never had one, I know a couple people who do it right before vacation, and then they splurge while there, and have to go and have it done every once in a while.

Just curious, it's free, but if it really does work like that, I think I'll wait until after the 5th, when I get weighed and measured at Curves, I want to know how much "I" really lost......if any

un HUH,,, TONING eh? well i dont think that TONING makes you lose weight... DETOXIFYING... uh HUH... cant see where THAT would make a difference in WEIGHT either... look slimmer.. perhaps... but weigh less.. uh.. very doubtful..
have fun with it.. and report back! cant wait to hear what you think of it... of course even LOOKING more toned IS half the battle.. isnt it.. ;-)

DH just called and they gave him some mumbo jumbo about how they apply something, then wrap something, with bags on your hands and ankles to collect something, and you walk while your are a mummy! Ok, not too sure, think I may give it a try, so I can "report back" lol, but I'm a little scared, I have claustrophobia problems, and this may put me over the edge, lol

I have a feeling that those who lose weight by using a body wrap, do so by losing water. I imagine that it's like having a full body facial.

What the heck, though. If you go in there just to be pampered, then you can't lose. So to speak.

i've also heard that certain types help to minimize cellulite ... ?
my friend had one done before going to a wedding - i couldn't tell, but she said she felt great and that her dress fit better ... ??
so i dunno!
how much do they cost (w/out a gift certificate)?

I think they are around $50 each time, thank goodness this one is free. I might just give it to my sister, she needs something, bless her heart, she's had two babies within a year and a half, so If I do, I'll let you all know how it worked for her.
