| I have not lost any pounds in just about a month. I keep batteling the same 2 pounds over and over. I exercise 6 days a week. I either walk or do walk away the pounds mile 1. or combine them. I average 30-45 minutes daily. Still no loss I thought maybe if I posted an average menu then someone could help. ( or maybe it is just a stall today b= mock danish and raw green beans l=cheeseburger with bluecheese and some zucchini d=1.5 hot itallian sausage cauliflower and cabbage. snack- EAS shake (I had a prof. development day at work so it was needed to keep me motivated with no students around) and a handful of sunflower seeds/almonds snack which i plan to have around 8pm mousse heavy cream splenda and unsweetened cocoa. I had been eating strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries but that was when I began this stall. I also had been eating lots of nuts so I cut those too. I am not completely sure where I am going wrong here. Am I getting carb creep and dont know it. I think that when I hit close to 40 I started to stop losing. now I have decreased back to 30 and am still not losing. i did a few days at 20 a day. to no avail still no loss. Any Advice? Lovin this WOE- never felt better but would like to see the scale or meauring tape show some consistant loss ( I mean like when I lose a pound it stays gone). Thanks Amy |

| Don't decrease your carbs. Instead, increase them and adjust the source from where they come, as follows: Eat more vegetables, the low glycemic type, such as lettuce, spinach, green peppers, cucumbers, radishes, and broccoli. Eat no less than 3 cups of vegetables per day. Ditch the shakes and any other low carb products. Does the hot Italian sausage contain sugar in any form (i.e.: HFCS, anything ending in -ose)? If so, don't eat it. Instead, eat meats from their natural forms (raw), and cook them yourself. Nothing pre-packaged or processed. Your carbs should be coming mainly from an abundance of vegetables. Try that for a week and see what happens. My two cents...

| Thanks for the advice April. Maybe todays menu was a bad example. I dont generally eat proceesed anything. I eat lots and lots of the veggies you mentioned (except radishes-not a favorite) The sausage was an emergency item. I keep the shakes around for emergencies, too. All the other staff were eating candy bars and stuff like that so I was glad I had it. But you think more carbs from veggies. I just feel full all the time. I promise I am not making excuses. I am going to try to add more veggies tommorrow. Hopefully I can find a way to add them in. I just dont want to feel like I am grazing all day. Amy |

| drinking almost 200 oz of water on an average day and 150 on a bad day. and yup on the multivitamin too. that is why I am confused about the stall. I think that I am doing things alright then dont lose. Amy |

| If I'm reading this right, you've lost 24 pounds in two months? That's a LOT of weight, sister! Just keep doing what you're doing and stay off the scale. Some of us would LOVE to lose that much! |

| AND....I've been doing this for a year now and have stalled MANY, MANY times. It's just a normal part of the process. Hang in there, it WILL come off!!!!!

| Hi Amy! You are doing great! Your kind of post is sooo hard to answer because there really aren't any sure fire solutions. It is a lot easier when there is something obvious in the menus or water or exercise to point to, but in your case you ARE doing everything right. About all anyone can do is suggest a couple things to try and hope they work. All I would like to add is to keep the faith! Barb Keith is my idol. I should keep HER picture on the refrig. I have been reading her posts for almost a year now and have seen her wait out stalls that would have overcome almost all of us. It is, as someone else said, a game of stare-eyes with our bodies. I would suggest changing your mental focus during these times to something else, like increasing or your fitness routines or trying something new. Concentrate on the other benefits of LC'ing. It will come off! |

| Thanks to all of you. I guess I am in denial about stalled. I was just hoping someone had a magic answer. But since noone has a magic wand I will just tough it out. Amy G |
