    Hey Y'All
I've been having real trouble getting back on plan. I stumbled the weekend of March 13th and I've been sliding downhill fast!! I've continued to post and I read other's posts everyday, hoping to find the inspiration and motivation to get back up, brush myself off, and move on. I even have a couple of you checking up on me in private chats, but for some reason, I can't seem to get back. I've gained 1 lb. since March 13th (278 lbs.), I haven't been in the gym since then and my try with induction failed after one day!! Probably has something to do with the "anchors" that is the featured essay this week.
Okay, after all that rambling, I'm asking you guys to PLEASE help me!! Words of encouragement, stories of others struggles (and how you came back from it), hugs, whatever! I really do need you now. I so want 2004 to be the year I succeed with my battles.
    Thanks for listening!

I haven't fallen off--but am totally obsessed right now with crackers and other bread like substances--dreamt last night that I ate a whole box of melba toast garlic flavor and was trying to "get rid" of all the carbs with water! I bet I went to the bathroom 4X last night in the middle of the night and I didnt' drink any more than normal nor did I eat all the melba toasts! Have drank some extra water today and avoided crackers though!!!!! Gotta love those dreams. I had a good laugh this morning with a friend about my obsession with crackers though! I hope I added a good laugh to your day too!!!! Good luck and I will check on you too!

This is only a suggestion. Would it help to do a major clean out of all the no-no foods in your house. Keep your hands busy doing art work, needlepoint, reading a new book. Break your goals down to manageable goals. Look at the big picture only as perhaps an ultimate goal, but again keep it to baby steps. Maybe even talking to your doctor to see what your alternatives are. Just want to help. Good Luck.

Evenings are the worst time for me, too. I don't know if I'm hungry or bored. It does help to take away all the foods that tempt you. If you eat too many of the legal foods that's at least better than the other way.

Maybe cut up a bunch of veggies to have ready in your fridge so when you open it they're right there.

And of course there may be psychological issues at work. If you are able to, getting some counseling might do you some good. Many of us eat for particular reasons, and sometimes finding out what they are is difficult.

Are you bored? Why do you eat? What is motivating you to stay on this WOE? Have you written down your goals and the steps you need to take to achieve them?

Are you watching TV and not noticing when you eat?

There could be any number of reasons--you need to track down what is making you eat more than you need, whether it's physical or psychological.

    That's my philosophy, too!

Also, I make myself work for my LC cheat. Whip your cream with a wisk. Bake something LC from scratch (see the recipes on this site-they've saved me!) and don't eat the pre-packaged LC convenience foods. Good Luck!

    Kim,
girl, you are too funny! I am a *&#@ Laker fan, huh? The Spurs beat them up on Sunday, but I knew the bubble would burst at some point!
Hey, the play your Blazers tonight!! You gonna watch?? I can't wait to mess with you tomorrow!!

BTW, I'm back to LCing and for the past few days, I've been doing well. I must admit, though, that I don't feel real strong in it. As long as there's nothing around to tempt me, I'm fine. But I don't trust myself yet to be strong in fighting temptation. So, I still need my hand held!! :o

Oh, poor boo boo! I hope you feel better. I know it's hard not to comfort yourself with "comfort" foods, but you just hang in there. Try some hot tea with splenda and lemon for your throat. And a nice soup with chicken broth, chicken legs, and lots of veggies (cabbage and broccoli are my faves).

And... don't yell too loud at the Blazers losing tonite!!! You gotta save your throat remember!!
