I've lost 3 pounds in the past three days after not losing anything for three weeks. How did I do this, you ask? Oatmeal? Oil of Oregano? Fish-tickling?

Nope. I got the flu. I would not recommend this as a weight loss method. Between not being able to eat enough and not being able to keep it in my body, I lost the weight.

Plus I'll probably gain it back when I get better, since I think it's mostly water.

So for anyone who is upset that they aren't losing weight quickly enough, remember--there are worse things than staying at the same weight.

Oh man! I was getting all excited for you since you are like me and a "slow loser" but then I read it, and OH'! I'm sorry, having the flu stinks! It is a good post to remind people though!!

The scale says 195, but I'm not going to believe it for about a week when this is all over and sorted out.

On the bright side, I was just able to EAT some food and it tasted so good!

Aw Shucks Terra. Sorry you are sick--that's a rotten way to spend a nice weekend, so I hope you're feeling better soon.

That's okay, it snowed here today. So it's not a waste of a weekend.

I am starting to recover. I still feel awful but am able to eat. I'm really appreciating how good it is to just EAT something without getting sick. I'm also appreciating some really good chicken broth I'd bought a while ago--organic free range broth. It's very good, and I can keep it do
