you know, that is a major problem. When we can't find products locally, we buy them out of town, and have no way of knowing what they taste like. I LOVE bagels, but I wish someone would post a list, and keep it available of products that have been tried and found good! sure would help all of us.

I use Atkins bagals, I like the cinnimon and rasin the best. No, their not like a regular high carb bagal in taste or texture. However I found them to be acceptable, I use the plain bagals as a hambugar bun, its nice to have something to put your meat on besides a plate. LOL

The Einstein Bros bagel place by my house advertises Low Carb Bagels. I'll have to check their website for the nutrition info, but I know I loved their bagels before I did this WOE.

I found some bagels, they are mini's, about 1/3 the size of regular ones, and only 22 carbs per bagel... I have one about every week or two, not too often, but when I am eating good and don't have anything else for breakfast I will allow my self one, (I am eating 50-70 carbs per day), toasted with a little cream cheese.

I do have some low carb bread. With that in mind, I sort of see bagels as being a bit redundant.

If someone actually managed to make a bagel with the same texture (ie. hard bread) I might give it a try...

I too tried some LC bagals... and yup that was my same reaction! it happend to be onion as well! YUCK YUCK.. and DOUBLE YUCK! NO amount of butter or cream cheese helped it all, and toasting it made everything even worse! Oh well.. good thing I was never a big bagal person so it really isn't no skin off my butt... I just fed it to my DH! His name should have been Mikey! LOL

My Local GNC has a great LC bagel which is only 2 carbs..after the fiber...and they are Really good!!!! So worth the 6 bucks for 6 bagels! and only 2 carbs...I usually use them for breakfast with my eggs.....they also have hamburger and hotdog buns which are 5 carbs per...which is pretty good too! Dont know if this is for all GNC's or just a local company?? Hope you all find something good in your area!
Hugs, Lisa

Lisa - what was the brand name? I have tried Cheeter's low carb onion bagels and I liked them. But I ate the 6 pack in 6 days so I never bought them again.

Thumbs up Re: Lo Carb Bagels

Someone on the site recommended Todds Organic Bagels, bread and rolls, so I decided to order some off there site. They are delicious, I ordered a pack of all three. I toasted my bagel and put cream cheese on it. I forgot how much i missed them not anymore. The bagels have 2g carbs and the bread has 1g per slice and the rolls are 2g. Anyways, you can order off there website.

Okay! The email option seems to work for some and not others. I don't know why. Have you checked your settings? have you opted for WYSIWYG in edit options?

I have recently found a low carb bagel that I LOVE. It is by Natural Ovens. I love their regular bread too but the bagel has the nice bagel type texture. They have 7 net carbs per bagel.
