So yeah I'm back in induction after a few weeks of going WAY over the recommended intake, but honestly I've never genuinely gone into induction before. I can honestly say that I'm "afraid" of slowing my weight loss. I realize that not upping them will mess me up and eventually slow me, but it's still a stupid fear I have. I've got a little over a week and 1/2 on my re-induction but then I'm really trying to get into OWL... for my metabolism's sake. Any suggestions?

I think this is a very important topic -- but i honestly can't think of anything to say that may ease your fear.... especially since i'm struggling myself ahhhh, where is emelia's wisdom but just know that you are not the only one who goes thru this fear. We all want the weight loss to continue but also fear if we don't up the carbs - we will mess up our metabolism -- just start slowly -- adding more vegetables is always a good way to go about it. honestly -- for me, i wish i could go back 4.5 yrs and do it over again (but take my knowledge with me) -- and not make some of the mistakes i've made along the way everything is a learning experience and since everyone reacts differently to carbs and carb levels, we can't always rely on what others have done. Just stay strong, listen to your body -- and keep posting. the support is so important. Oh yeah... and never give up.

Something that is really helping me is weighing every day. I know there are many that disagree with this idea, but it works for me, so I'll share. . . I probably would have spent the last two months in utter despair, watching the scale sit tight, but here's what I've done. I created a spreadsheet to put in my weight each day, then an average for the week is created, and an average pounds lost per week. With this tool I can see that I have averaged 1.15 pounds lost per week, and each week's average is lower than the week before. So instead of getting hung up on banging around in the same four pounds for a month, I can see that although slow, the progress is steady. Like I said, being a scale hound doesn't work for everyone, but if you must get on the beast regularly, might as well put those numbers to work for you. And OWL is great. There's truly nothing better than a really huge pile of broccoli! Carpe Diem! Stacie 222/149/140ish
