| Has anyone had a stall after consuming sorbitol? I just bought some pancake syrup and it has 4 g total carbs but 3 of them are sorbitol g's. What do you do about these carbs? Do you deduct them from the total carb count or count half or all of them? |

| I've found sorbitol to be one of the lower impact alcohols for me and the wife. I seem to recall a post on the original LCE board as well that suggested sorbitol was one of the lower impact as well. I can't recall the syrup we use offhand, but it has the same nutritional info you site.

| So what your saying is that it doesn't knock you out of ketosis? |

| Welcome, folks. Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol and a YMMV (your mileage may vary) item. Many people find that various sugar alcohols do push them out of ketosis, some do not. For some, they spark cravings for carby items. For many, there are digestive consequences to some of the different sugar alcohols. There's a very good article on the whole issue here. HTH!
