I can't get into the "other" pastas either. I use spaghetti squash and even DD loves it. I use regular Ragu flavored with meat--5gs of carbs per 1/2 cup serving--exactly the same as the Carb Options one and about half the price. I have tried 3 different pastas and just tossed them out--YUCK, BLECH!!! I have yet to toss the carbsense hot cereal, but I agree, it is absolutely awful--I suppose if you caouldn't taste anything it would be fine though! LOL

I have also thrown out a low carb hot cereal, don't recall the brand, but it was terrible. If you are craving real oatmeal, get the quick cooking (not instant which has sugar). 1/4 cup dry (which cooks up to a decent serving) is about 12 grams of carbs.

I would like to try spaghetti squash, just have never seen it available.

We have spa sauce over spa squash and also when we have shrimp scampi, we have it over spa squash, also.

We have alfredo over broccoli or cauliflower (had that last night). It 's really good. We had tried the "carb sense" LC pasta and it was horrid. We had to throw it away.

Road King Cole,

Ask in the produce section of your supermarket if they stock spaghetti squash. If they don't, they will perhaps get it for you. It is the "pasta" of choice at my house. I put marinara sauce, pesto and alfredo sauces on it, and really like it. It's also good just tossed with a little butter, and some grated cheese. I use it as a base for scampi, as well as chicken marsala and parmesan made with almond flour.
Rob is right; soy pasta will never duplicate pasta made with semolina. It just comes down to, some people like soy pasta, some don't. (I have used Keto; not bad, but not great.) For me, the squash is a very good option.

I use thinly sliced cabbage "noodles", or zucchini strips(done with a veggie peeler), or the spaghetti squash in place of all noodles since I've been doing this WOL. I love cabbage and chicken with alfredo sauce. I can't forsee a time when I'll feel the desire to eat pasta again. I'm coming up on 2 years in the "no pasta zone". My lasagna is always made with cabbage, egg plant, or zucchini in place of noodles also. I stay clear of soy products because of an adverse reaction to them and I'm happy to say, I don't need them with everything else that is available. I had a waitress tell me yesterday that she does WW because she can eat everything and with Atkins', you can't eat everything. I just told her that I can eat anything, I just need to change it up a little.
