| I take: 2 multiples (My Favourite Multiple) 2 Vitimin C (chewable...yeah, I know, extra sugar, but its my little treat) 3 acidophilius (for 16 years now...never had a problem with candida!) 1 emotional support (for, well, emotional support) Have I noticed a difference? well...I don't know. Combined with the right diet and excercise, I guess I've noticed that I don't get sick as much...but that's about it. -Buzzy |

| I take a woman's multivitamin, calcium, folic acid, chromium picolinate, L-Carnitine, and flaxseed oil. When the flaxseed oil is gone, I plan to switch to a different oil...not sure which one yet...and add flax cereal into my WOE. Any recommendations? I think there is a combination one that has flaxseed, fish, and something else...anyone know what I am talking about? Anyway, I just posted asking for information on ACV and plan to add that, and I also might start taking L-Glutamine. I am also going to up my L-Carnitine intake. Jonny Bowden, in his book Living the Low Carb Life, has a great chapter on supplements and which ones he recommends. I am sometimes overwhelmed by the number I take already, but I am going to add the ones I mentioned because I liked what he had to say about them. I usually take them each one at a time with a big gulp of water and can get a whole bottle of water down this way! So that's a plus! And I take them with my breakfast...

| interesting read about that CLA.. thanks.. i also found this particularly important.: "Beware of others charging less, You may get what you pay for... Look for these signs: Most offer only 1000mg per cap or only 60 caps per bottle. Some have 200caps per bottle. Read closer, they require you take 9 per day! Unless they specify Safflower Oil, they are probably using the less expensive and less effective Sunflower Oil. Some will even say "Proprietary Blend", or "Safflower/Sunflower". Know what you are buying" let the buyer beware inDEED! I also found this to be true in aLOT of the supplements or vitamins i would buy.. think im getting it cheaper? yeah right, the amounts were WAY lower in strength or amount of capsules.. grrrrrrrrrrr ya just GOTTA CHECK EVERYTHING doncha? pretty wild how easy it was to not notice that one had SAFFLOWER and the other SUNFLOWER... i even had to look twice to notice what they were talking about.... | I have started taking the Adkins Advantage (6 daily), Essential oils (4 daily), his vitamin (3 daily), and CLA (4 daily). I also take a One-A-Day women, calcium, vit E and chromian (sp?). I never was a pill taker either, but I am hoping for some type if help in my losing. I alos take a Premarin and Wellbutrin. It is no wonder I feel like I am always gulping down pills. Oh well, it sure helps to get my water in!

| GNC carries a product called Multi-Oil. It is in a pretty blue bottle. It has fish oil, borage oil, wheat germ, evening primrose, black currant and flax seed oils in it. And no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. No soy, no dairy, etc. It also has Omega 3 & 6 in it and is sodium free. There are 120 capsules per bottle and it says to take 3/day. They are relatively small for all they have in them. I think I paid $9-$10 for the bottle and lasts around 6 weeks if you remember to take them every day.

| Ok, I take one of those atkins nutra paks each day which is 6 pills and one oil gel cap. I also take a couple Gloucosamine/condradine horse pills (I know it is spelled wrong) and I am still taking an arthitis pill or two daily. I think I need to take in more oil and try to cut out the arthritis pills.

| I posted my list on the other thread about supplements. Just wanted to mention that I've appreciated the service and prices at my online supplement supplier, Puritan. com Once a year, they have a 3 for 1 sale. Right now, it's 2 for 1. Prompt service and (as far as I can tell) quality products. |

| Looking for information regarding what supplements I should be taking. I am a 34 Year old Man I am thinking of taking a multi vitamin, potassium, and Calcium, but Im not sure how much of each I need to take. Also what else should I be taking that will help me feel better and help me make up for the foods I may not be eating? Thanks |

| Those 3 are good choices. I use Centrum performance multi which is the same exact formulation as Centrum CArb Assist. The only suggestion I might make is a magnesium supplement to go with the potassium. I take the potassium and magnesium on an as needed basis. meaning that if I eat an avocado for lunch i won't take a potassium pill that day or I may cut back to one 99 mg pill. I take a B complex and vitamin e and vitamin c and fish oil caps. but I've been taking those since I don;t know when. I recently added back Coq10 (which I dropped about 5 years ago) and saw an immediate increase in my energy levels. But at your age that may not even be a factor. |

| Only 80 mgs which the label says is 2% Dv. which would mean dv is 4000. that seems high but I'll trust their figures. BTW - by law a single potassium pill may not exceed 99 mgs, so don't look for higher. |
