Default Carb Options

Hello all .... I hope this isn't old news, if it is I apologize, but I just visited the website for Carb Options (http://www.carboptions.com) and found a few quick & easy recipe ideas as well as a store locator for products. Some recipes didn't seem to follow our rules, but can easily be "tweeked" to be allowable. They have more products than I was aware of.
I will be trying the Nutty Cheesecake Bites this evening, confessing I have on occasion eaten the peanut spread in moderation ... lol...a gal has to have some vices !!

Thanks for posting I hadn't been to Carb Options web site yet and I just took a quick trip. I know I'll go back for recipe ideas and yes I'll "tweek" them. The Nutty Cheesecake Bites do look good. Thanks again for the info.

We like their Asian Green Beans. It's one of our favorites! (I make it using fresh green beans).

I made the nutty cheescake bites about a week ago and they are quite tasty. I got about 20-1 inch balls which I rolled half in crushed pecans and half in unsweetened coconut. I like both equally well. They lasted about a week. This is a "must try" recipe.
I just bought the carb options crunchy peanut spread yesterday and had a spoonful; it was great. I really prefer crunchy pb anyways.

The on laughable thing about Carb Options line is the Mayonase. On Fitday 1 Tbs of Mayo has .373 carbs.

Since the USDA allows a producer to put zero if the content is less that half a gram, I would bet that Carb Options Zero gram Mayo has the same amount. And the price of the "zero" carb mayo is about 3 times "regular" mayo, it is kind of like selling "lowfat" lettuce.

About the mayo - I always read labels. I think a lot of companies have jumped on the lo-carb bandwagon, charging more for their products than the regular counterparts. I have found that in some cases, the regular products have no more carbs than the ones labelled lo-carb.

Kinda compulsive, here...

I do the same thing with the label reading. Not only are the low-carb products more expensive but some of the products don't taste as good as the non labeled low carb food. Now I am eating the carb option steak sauce as I type and it is great! I don't care for the ice cream as much.
