Default Pizza, Cake and PMS

Boy, have I had an adventure the last few days. A deadly combination of circumstances. . . during my pre-monster-ual hysteria, my DH decided it was time for pizza. He also had the urge for cake, which was quickly procured from the local bakery. It had the sugary icing, which I love - don't like the whip cream kind, don't have any trouble resisting THAT. And of course, as I am the CARB QUEEN and utterly INVINCIBLE, I ate it all. Three pieces of pizza, and a huge slice of the cake. I figured if I'm gonna eat it I'm gonna make it count.
Holy cow, did it count! Over the last 3 days I've been up & down & back again in a SEVEN POUND range! From 148, to 152, to 155, and back to 148 today. It was a total experiment in terror! I will now remember this, and stop to ask myself if I want it that bad. Is it worth seven pounds and days of misery? In retrospect, what a great learning experience that was. Another lesson in how different foods affect my body. Invincible Carb Queen indeed! LOL!

Yep, Stacie, I know just how you feel. Luckily, I am not so far down the road from my last carb blowout that I can't remember how rotten I felt afterward. The bloat-y stomach, the intense fatigue, and the insatiable thirst and cravings...ugh, why would I wanna go back there???!! Tomorrow's another day, you'll be fine.

Well good for you for learning a lesson, Now maybe your husband will stop bringing home this much temptation all at once. You can arm yourself ahead of time if he lets you know what's coming home with him. The 3 minute chocolate cake is very good with a bit of fresh whipped cream on to and I find it serves 2 people generously (I add sf chocolate syrup and strawberries to it or walnuts). So make this when you feel like caving in to temptation. Low carb flour tortillas make good pizzas for when a high carb pizza is on its way. These suggestions are not for induction but are fine once you go to OWL.
